Abstract

The invention relates to manual nutcrackers. The nutcrackers (1) are of the type formed by a body (2) with, according to its longitudinal axis XY, a short tail (3), which acts as a gripping means and one end (4) of which is in the shape of a spearhead in order to penetrate, via its point, into the split of a nut. The nutcrackers (1) are characterised in that, in the direction of its transverse axis, the body (2) forms, at each lateral end (7, 8) another spearhead, the point of which is more rounded than the point of the central spearhead. The tail (3) of the body (2) of the said nutcrackers (1) is short, flat and ends in a wide edge perpendicular to the longitudinal axis XY, this being in order to act as a means for removing the half-shelled nut (walnut). The invention applies to the cracking-open of nuts, without the latter being crushed.

Description

 The invention relates to a manual nut opener.

The state of the art can be defined by the following patents:
- FR-A-2.191.430: "The hollow body of the nutcracker is made of hard material and the nut is crushed by the handle screw, both locked without being able to jump or slide on the ribs or internal teeth formed on the wall, opposite the screw.

A removable cover closes the opening for inserting the nut. "
- FR-A-2.310.114: "This nutcracker is characterized in that it comprises a pair of branches, means connecting the two branches so that they are movable towards each other and vice versa, a pair of jaws, each of which has a work surface facing the corresponding work surface of the other jaw, said work surfaces being angularly offset from one another so as to define a space between them 'wedge-shaped crushing, each jaw being secured respectively to one of said branches so as to move in response to the movement of said branches, so that the dimension of said crushing space is reduced when said branches are moved to one another and is increased when said branches are distant from one another, and stop means adapted to delimit the minimum dimension of said crushing space. The instrument has on at least one of the two handles:
- two concave moldings of particular shapes, making it possible to position the fruit, to block it, to present it in a way favorable to bursting,
- a movable main stop on a slide, allowing the stroke of the two sleeves to be adjusted so as not to crush the kernel,
- a second retractable stop by spring mounting, used to very easily position the main stop on which it is fixed.

 This instrument concerns at least the main dried nuts, (walnut, cashew, almond, almond, hazelnut). It has its place in all households and food crafts (pastries, restaurants).

Each of the two elements comprises, at one end, a protrusion in the form of a cylindrical sector, surrounded by an annular part forming an eye and a tab in the form of an arc of a circle, concentric with the projection.

- FR-A-2.343.460: "The invention relates to a nut opener. This nut opener is formed by an elongated body of which one end is in the shape of a spearhead and can penetrate by its point into the slot of 'a nut, while its other end is constituted by a gripping and / or actuating member in the form of a ring.

Application for opening nuts without grinding, "
The majority of these nutcrackers are pliers or devices that break the shell of the nuts.

 Patent FR-A-2,343,460 describes a nut opener for opening nuts without grinding.

 The nut opener according to the invention is formed of a body with, along its longitudinal axis, a short tail, which acts as a gripping means and one end of which is in the form of a spearhead for penetrating, by its point , in the crack of a nut.

Said nut opener is characterized in that in the direction of its transverse axis, the body forms at each lateral end another spearhead whose tip is more rounded than the tip of the central spearhead; the tail of the body of said work is short, flat and ends with a wide edge perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and, this, to act as a means of extracting the kernel.

 The attached drawings are given as indicative and non-limiting examples. They represent a preferred embodiment according to the invention. They will allow the invention to be easily understood.

 Figure 1 is a plan view of the nut opener according to the invention.

 Figure 2 is a perspective view of the nut opener according to Figure 1.

 Figure 3 is a schematic view showing the introduction of the central end in the form of a spearhead in the slot of the nut.

 Figure 4 is a schematic view showing the action of the tail of the body of the nut opener which acts as a means of extracting the kernel.

 The nut opener 1 is formed by a body 2 with along its longitudinal axis XY, a short tail 3 which acts as a gripping means for handling the nut opener and as extraction means for extracting the kernel 6 when the nut 5 is open.

 The end 4, which is opposite to the tail 3, is in the shape of a spearhead, the end 4 is pointed to penetrate into the slot of the nut 5.

 The body 2 forms, in its transverse axis at each lateral end 7, 8, another spearhead the tip of which is more rounded than the tip of the central spearhead of the end 4.

 The tail 3 of the body 2 of said nut opener 1 is short, flat and ends with a wide edge perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and this, to act as a means of extracting the kernel 6.

Nut opener (1) of the type formed by a body (2) with, along its longitudinal axis XY, a short tail (3), which acts as a gripping means and one end (4) of which is shaped of spearhead to penetrate, by its point, into the slot of a nut (5), characterized by the fact  that in the direction of its transverse axis, the body (2) forms at each lateral end (7,8) another spearhead whose tip is more rounded than the tip of the central spearhead.  2. Nut opener (1) according to claim 1, characterized by the fact  that the tail (3) of the body (2) of said nut opener (1) is short, flat and ends with a wide edge perpendicular to the longitudinal axis XY and, this, to act as a means of extracting the kernel (6).
