Abstract

The invention relates to a device making it possible, by means of a stepped-down motor (18), to rotate an advertising panel (3) mounted on a vertical spindle (14) which will be articulated about two fixed advertising panels (1) and (2) in a to-and-fro movement identical to the opening or the closing of a door. The stepped-down motor (18) will be linked to the movable panel (3) by a torque-limiting friction clutch (17) allowing the said panel (3) to stop if it encounters resistance due to any obstacle. The device according to the invention is more particularly intended for indoor advertising on public or private sites.

Description

MOBILE ADVERTISING PANEL
The present invention relates to a device whose function is to make mobile, a panel receiving advertising, so as to give it a movement similar to the opening or closing of a door.

We notice that advertising is used more and more, and our environment is constantly enriched with new panels of different dimensions installed inside and outside. The vast majority of these display panels are constituted by a frame around a surface into which a fixed advertisement is inserted which can be made possibly luminous. However, the multiplicity of these fixed display panels conditions us in this environment and we come to no longer notice the messages addressed to us.

We note that many of these advertisements installed in fixed panels fall into anonymity despite the efforts of professionals regarding the treatment of these surfaces.

The present invention proposes to remedy these drawbacks by creating a mobility of an advertising panel which by its movement will attract attention.

The object of the device according to the invention is, from 2 fixed advertising panels of determined dimensions and mounted side by side, to motorize a third panel which mounted on a vertical axis will be articulated in the middle of these 2 fixed panels to give it an opening or closing movement going from right to left, then from left to right, or vice versa, the whole thus constituting 4 advertising surfaces.

The invention is characterized in that it comprises motor means necessary for driving the central movable panel as well as means for starting, regulating, safety, stopping controlling the said motor means .

In a preferred embodiment, the 2 fixed panels are connected together on one of their vertical uprights by a system of hinges allowing the realization of an opening angle ranging from 90 "to 1800 and being blocked after determination of said angle .

One of these 2 fixed panels will serve as a support for the whole of the invention and will be equipped in such a way that its fixing on the different sites can be done either against a wall, on the floor, or under a ceiling.

The mobile central panel will therefore be articulated in the center of the 2 fixed panels and its circular path will be determined by the angle given to the 2 fixed panels.

In a preferred embodiment the bottom pivot of the movable panel will be mounted on a rolling cage which will support the weight of said panel. The pivot axis will pass through the hub of the rolling cage and will be coupled to an electric reduction motor which will include an adjustable friction clutch limiting the torque of said reduction motor in order to ensure disengagement of the movable panel if it meets the least resistance in its circular path.

In an improved embodiment, the movable panel will be folded against one of the 2 fixed panels. A programming clock will start the movement of the movable panel which will make its circular path towards the other fixed panel. This said fixed panel will be equipped with a limit switch which will stop the movement in progress. This will cause a stop of an adjustable duration from 1 to 30 seconds, then allow the movement of the movable panel in the opposite direction to go to excite the limit switch contact of the opposite fixed panel; this said movable panel will perform after an adjustable stop from 1 to 30 seconds a new rotation in the opposite direction and so on.

In this improved embodiment, even after the programmer has been stopped, the mobile panel will continue to operate thanks to a derogation device which will cease when the said mobile panel has excited the limit switch contact from the start position, causing this moment only the movement stopped.

In a preferred embodiment, all the panels constituting the invention will be luminous and therefore equipped in their central part, with neon tubes, against which will be positioned white diffusing plexi, themselves serving as support for the advertising text (posters, etc. ..)
The lighting of the neon lights may be linked to the setting in motion of the movable panel, or may have an independent walking cycle.

With reference to these drawings, the invention comprises
Two fixed advertising panels (1) and (2) connected together by high and low hinges (10) allowing the opening of an angle between 90 "and 1800 (11) and the blocking after determination of said angle. The panel (1) will serve as a support and will include the fixing devices (12).

The central movable panel (3) will be connected to the fixed panel (1) in the upper part by a hinge (13) and in the lower part, a pivot axis (14) will pass through a bearing cage (15) which will support the weight of the mobile panel (3) using the support (16) itself connected to the panel (1). Under this assembly, the pivot axis (14) will be connected to an adjustable torque limiter (17) itself mounted on the gear motor (18) which will be fixed to the panel (1) by the support (19).

The interior of the panels (1-2-3) will be illuminated by means of neon tubes (27) against which will be fixed a white diffusing plexi (21) which will support the advertising example poster (22).

A frame with a high opening hinge (23) filled with transparent plexiglass (24) will protect advertising.

The movable panel (3) folded over the support panel (1) as shown in Figure 1 will be set in motion by means of a pendulum which will power the gear motor (18). This will drive the movable panel (3) at a speed of 0.75 rpm, towards the fixed panel (2) or a limit switch (25) will stop the movement then after an adjustable stop from 1 to 30 seconds will reverse the movement and the movable panel (3) will start again towards the fixed panel (1) or the limit switch (26) will stop the movement, the reverse cycle will be reprogrammed.

When the pendulum will program a cutout whatever the position of the movable panel (3) it will be necessary to wait until it returns to the contact (26) for the stop to be effective.

According to an improved variant, the invention may be implemented according to FIG. 5 or all of the 4 panels constituting 8 advertising surfaces will be supported by a post (30), the attachment of which may be to the floor (31), to the ceiling (32), etc. ...

 To ensure the movement of the movable panels (3) and (3bis) two motor reducers (18) are required, as well as the doubling of the limit switch contacts (25) and (26) and other transmission components, rotation, regulation, security.

In a simplified embodiment, the invention can be manufactured with only two panels, a mobile and a fixed, the assembly consisting in removing the panel (2) represented in FIG. 1.

By way of non-limiting example, the dimensions of the mobile and fixed display panels defined in the invention may have a height of 170 cm and a width of 130 cm overall.

The present device according to the invention is more particularly intended for indoor advertising of public or private premises.

Claims (7)

1) Device consisting of two fixed advertising panels (1 and 2) mounted side by side and having a determined opening angle, to make mobile a third advertising panel (3) which mounted on a vertical axis (14) will perform between the said fixed panels (1 and 2) a movement back and forth from right to left then from left to right or vice versa thanks to an electric reduction motor equipped with regulation and safety means. 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the driving of the movable panel (3) is carried out by an electric reduction motor (18) having a rotation speed of 0.75 rpm. 3) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the junction between the reduction motor (18) and the movable panel (3) is carried out by means of a torque limiting friction clutch (17) allowing the movement stopped if resistance of any kind disturbs the circular path of said movable panel (3) without influencing the previously established operating cycles. 4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the limits of the circular path of the movable panel (3) are conditioned by the position of the fixed panels (1) and (2) and of the limit switch contacts (25 ) and (26).  5) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mobile panel (3) is mounted on a vertical axis and that the rotation of said mobile panel can be between 0 and 1800 relative to the fixed panel (1) . 6) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the starting and stopping of the reduction motor (18) is always made from the same point whatever the cut-off information communicated by the programming clock. 7) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the movable panel (3) has a display on the front and back sides.
