Abstract

The invention relates to the production of hair compositions which are characterised by the presence of a combination of dicarboxylic amino acids, such as aspartic or glutamic acid, with basic amino acids, chiefly lysine and arginine, with the aim of neutralising the adverse effects of the lactic acid produced by the eccrine glands of the scalp, which is responsible for adverse effects on the hair bulb and the keratinous fibre.

Description

It has been observed that the piloseacea elements of the scalp comprise eccrine channels releasing a sweat fluid containing variable contents of lactic acid.

In the case of sweat hypersecretion in the scalp, there is high production of lactic acid which causes biochemical degradations of the constituents of the hair bulb leading to a disturbance in the biosynthesis of the keratinous fiber, histologically visible.

It therefore appears advantageous to neutralize the harmful effects of lactic acid on the scalp; this neutralizing action should not interfere in the process of sweat secretion, nor modify in any way, the emunctory and thermoresulative function.

The object of the present invention is to carry out a process for neutralizing the lactic acidity secreted by the eccrine glands of the scalp, characterized in that it is treated with compositions comprising the association of dicarboxylic amino acids, such as the acids aspartic and glutamic, with a basic amino acid, preferably the plant or the arginine.

Advantageously, use will be made of the association of aspartiquelysine acid, given that aspartic acid is bioenergitic and that lysine is a non-essential friend acid.

The application to the scalp of a composition comprising the association of an amino acid dicyrboxylic, mainly, aspartic acid with a basic amino acid like lysine, has three advantages -To transform the lactic acid from eccrine sweat in lysine lactate devoid of aggressive effects for the hair bulb, and therefore; not to reduce the glycolysis which provides the energy necessary for the reproduction of cell membranes.

- To release aspartic acid, the energetic action of this amino acid having been widely described
Chromatographic and microscopic examinations have shown: -the presence of lactic acid in the sweat flow of the scalp.

-la disparition de l'acide lactique, par application d'une solution d'aspartate de lysine, avec l'apparition caracteristigue,au au microscope en lumière polarisée, de cristaux d'acide aspartique. the disappearance of lactic acid, by application of a solution of lysine aspartate, with the characteristic appearance, under a microscope in polarized light, of crystals of aspartic acid.

The experiment showed that the subjects having an abnormal hyperhydrosis of the scalp, presented a certain brittleness of the resistance of their hair>, those which are pulled out easily with their bulb, contrary to the scalps treated with aspartate of lysine , which in this case broke under the action of traction, without eliminating the bulb.
