Abstract

The auxiliary seat for the cabs of commercial vehicles, associated with a respective main seat (P) comprises a backrest (2) and a cushion (3) which are joined to one another substantially like the two halves of a book, means (4, 5) for fitting the auxiliary seat (1) on the said main seat (P) which allow the cushion (3) to be folded down between a vertical position of rest against its main seat and at least one horizontal position in which the assembly is used, and support means (11, 12) activated selectively in order to hold the said cushion (3) in the position of use.
