Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for obturating a container, a bottle in particular, containing a liquid generating a pressure of the type comprising a cap which carries on the inside a lip of diameter less than that of the upper rim of the bottle, ensuring the snap-fit engagement of the cap. According to the invention, the said cap (2) is provided, on its outer face, at the level of its internal engagement lip (4), with an annular peripheral groove (7) and there is associated with the said cap (2) an annular elastic ring (1) of internal diameter less than the diameter of the bottom line of the said groove (7) and of a shape in radial cross-section corresponding to that of the said groove.
