Abstract

The invention relates to a disposable protection device (1) for the surface of any cooking top (6) intended to avoid any dirtying and therefore any cleaning of this surface (6). It consists of a structure (1) which is preformed according to the shape of the cooking top in question (6), provided with pre-cut openings (2) allowing the passage of the burners (3) or of the electric plates (4) and with a rim (5). It is constituted by a layer of flame-retardant material (8) which imparts a certain rigidity to the disposable protection (1) and by an upper part (9) constituted by one or more layers of aluminium paper or any other flame-retardant material.

Description

The present invention relates to a disposable protection device for the surface of any cooktop in general.

 Traditionally, during culinary preparations, it is not possible to avoid various splashes, notably of fat or liquid overflows such as milk. These overflows or splashes are solidified or charred under the action of the heat of the burners, thus making cleaning of the surface of the hob particularly long and tedious. On the other hand the adhesion of stains requires scraping which deteriorates the surface of the hob. In addition the heat from the burners is propagated by conduction and radiation on the surface of the hob resulting in heat loss.

The present invention proposes to overcome these two drawbacks by a device intended to cover the surface of the cooktop with a disposable protection (l) fig.l
This disposable protection (1) will be preformed according to the hob model considered, for example comprising 4 gas burners or 2 gas burners and 2 electric plates, or 4 electric plates or any other arrangement or other form of hob in general .

 According to one embodiment among others, the disposable protection (1) fig.l will be provided with pre-cut holes (2) allowing the passage of the burners (3) or the electric plates (4) and has a flange (5 ) which adapts to the circumference of the hob (6) and can be fixed by an adhesive device (7). This rim (5) will prevent the passage of overflow liquids under the disposable protection (1).

 Thus this disposable protection (1) avoids any long and tedious mopping and the use of detergent.

 This disposable protection (1) according to a preferred embodiment will consist of fig. 2, a layer of flame retardant material (8) ensuring a certain rigidity in the disposable protection (1) and an upper part (9) consisting of one or more layers of aluminum foil or any other flame retardant material.

 According to a variant fig.3,1a disposable protection (1) comprises an interruption of the layer (8) on a part (10) of variable width, concentric with the burners (3) or the electric plates (4).

The device according to the invention, thanks to the upper protection made of aluminum foil, will at the same time ensure better reflection of the heat radiation, thereby saving energy for cooking.

 According to a variant, fig. 4, the disposable protection (1) will consist of three layers: a lower layer (ll) of variable nature, flame retardant and insulating and or a mid-layer (8) flame retardant and insulating and the upper layer (9) .The two layers (8) and (11) will reduce heat loss by conduction

 Claims 1 Device intended to ensure the protection of the surface of any cooktop (6) against soiling caused by cooking preparations consisting of a disposable protection (1) fig: l preformed according to the model of cooktop cooking considered, comprising pre-cut orifices allowing the passage of burners (3) or electric plates (4), a flange (5) fitting on the circumference of the hob (6) by a adhesive device (7). 2 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the disposable protection (1) will consist, fig: 2, of a layer of flame retardant material (8) ensuring the rigidity of the disposable protec -tion (1), and a upper layer (9) formed by one or more layers of aluminum foil or other flame retardant material. 3 Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the disposable protection (1) fig: 3 will include, at the level of the pre-cut holes (2) for the passage of the burners (3) or the electric plates (4) an interruption of the rigid flame retardant layer (8) over a part of variable width (10) concentric with the burners (3) or with the electric plates (4) 4 Device according to claims 2 and 3 characterized in that according to a variant of the invention, the protection jeta -ble (1) fig: 4 may consist of an upper layer (9), a fireproof and insulating middle layer (8) and a lower layer of variable nature (11) fireproof and insulating.
