Abstract

The invention relates to a catch for locking a rod 3, 3' or one of the intermediate bolts 13, 13' of an existing lock 2 via the displacement of an adaptor 6 integral with an electromagnet 8 in the vertical position. During closure of the lock 2, leading to displacement of the intermediate bolt 13, the adaptor 6 is positioned behind the latter. An existing or added stop 14 will then oppose the displacement of the intermediate bolt. The door is opened by emitting one or more codes coming from the keyboard 12 mounted on the outer part of the door 1 and controlling the electromagnet 8, which causes release and displacement of the intermediate bolt 13 because of the movement of the key of the lock 2. It should be understood that an identical arrangement could be adopted for the intermediate bolt 13'.
