Abstract

The seat according to the invention is a reversible multifunction article comprising a seat part, a backrest, a front underframe and a rear underframe. This article is characterised in that it comprises a front underframe 4 provided with means for pivoting it about an approximately horizontal hinge axis 5 at the front of the seat part 1. By pivoting this front underframe 4, the article can be turned upside down into a second position in which the backrest becomes the rear underframe and vice versa.

6.- Seat furniture according to claim 5, characterized in that the front base (4) consists of two lateral legs (8) connected by a crosspiece (9), said legs (8) being articulated on each side of the seat (1), between the seat support (7) and the corresponding strut (10).

7. Seat furniture according to any one of claims 5 or 6, characterized in that it comprises locking means in the form of a lock (11) with spring (12), arranged at one of the struts (10) and cooperating with orifices (14) made in the corresponding foot (8).
