Abstract
Description
DESCRIPTION DE L'INVENTION
La présente invention concerne le domaine du Jeu de patience.DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of patience game.
This process makes it possible to create hollow, three-dimensional objects in a puzzle: world maps, vases, hollow statues, lamp bases ...
It is no longer a plane puzzle image; it is also not a model (numbered pieces to be nested or glued).
These are non-planar puzzle pieces, integral parts of the wall of the object to be assembled, mixed together. They do not nest or stick together, they overlap with each other.
The game consists in finding the complementary parts, arranging them together to make the model, such that it holds securely can title manipulated meaning problem after assembly1 and then disassembled as desired.
It is therefore a question of proposing a hollow object whose wall has a constant thickness. Although their curvature is variable, the pieces making up this wall will always stack the same thickness (of the order of X to I cm
List of criteria necessary to maintain the pieces together:
--- The cutting of the object must resemble that of a traditional plan puzzle, whose pieces are arranged in horizontal rows and vertical columns.
--- The parts must resemble by cutting their surface to those of a plane puzzle: body of part provided with systems of imbrication with types of tongues and recesses.
figure 1: pièce du puzzle.figure 1: piece of the puzzle.
--- The parts must present along their body a section of their thickness in the axis of the radius of their curvature.
That is to say that they must be cut straight in their thickness.
Figure 2: cross section of the body of a part, its radius of curvature and the section of its thickness.
--- The section of the tongues and recesses, all along their periphery, must be very oblique with respect to the radius of their curvature (450 for example). The bias thus formed will look forward (respectively back) for the tongue and backward (resp. Forward) for a recess which faces it on the corresponding part. Tabs and recesses are therefore cut in bevel in their thickness. Everything comes down to considering that the tongues and recesses do not have the same anterior and posterior surfaces at all: one of these surfaces being concentric and much smaller than the other. While the body of part B two practically identical surfaces. Tabs and recesses have a complementary bias. This bevel will prevent the antero-posterior sliding of the parts, any other sliding of the tabs out of the recesses being impossible due to the design of their surface, once the part is nested.
Figure 3: cross section of a tongue engrained in its corresponding recess, their radius of curvature and the section of their thickness.
Each piece must have a single tongue or a single recess on each of its edges. Two opposite edges must each carry either a tongue, or each a recess, the bevel of which must look in the same direction. Two contiguous edges of the part will alternately carry a tongue and a bevel recess in opposite orientation. Said part, nested between its four complementary parts, will therefore be trapped, retained rearward (resp. Front) by two bevel tabs oriented forward (resp. Rear), and retained forward ( resp.
l'arrière ) par deux évidements à biseau inverse. rear) by two recesses with reverse bevel.
figure 4: pièces engrainées.figure 4: driven parts.
Each rsng must have an even number of parts (in order to respect the two-by-two opposition system of the tongues and recesses).
--- The choice of tabs and recesses respects the same imperative of opposition (if a part has two horizontal tabs and two vertical recesses, the next in the row will have two horizontal recesses, and two vertical tabs).
--- The direction of the bevel of the tongues and recesses will be identical for all the parts, fixed once and for all.
Indeed the bevel of a recess on a part is opposite to that of the tongues of this part by definition. It is opposed by necessity of reciprocity to the bevel of the tongue of the part which corresponds to it. The bevels of the arrangement systems of two adjacent rooms will therefore look in the same direction.
--- The assembly will start from a guide piece which will constitute the bottom of the object. This guide piece will serve as the first row. At its upper edge it will present and support all the cuts of the next row. Its perimeter will therefore carry alternating tongues and recesses (as many as pieces in the next row). The bevels of the tabs look in the opposite direction to the bevels of the recesses, as defined above.
figure 5: exemple de pièce-guide.Figure 5: example of a guide piece.
Chaque pièce-clé devra porter une marque de reconnaissance aisée pour le joueur. each row will have at least one key piece, likely to be installed last, between 3 parts already fixed. Each key piece must meet two imperatives. It must carry on its lower edge the drive system, tongue or recess, whose bias looks forward. This lower edge must be very convex downwards (semicircular if possible). Each key piece must bear an easy recognition mark for the player.
figure 6: exemple de pièce-clé.Figure 6: example of a key part.
--- The pieces of a row surrounded by the upper row will stand by themselves. Previously, during assembly, they will be held in place by small desk clips. The pieces of the last row will have a mandatory free edge and will no longer satisfy the principle of reciprocal opposition already defined. I1 will have to complete their fixing with small open clamps (or other system) maintaining their free edge two by two.
figure 7: pinces ouvertes sur le bord libre de deux pièces.figure 7: pliers open on the free edge of two pieces.
--- If the shape of the object widens, the manufacturer can increase the number of pieces by one row. Either by replacing as many times as possible a very large room with three rooms meeting the criteria previously defined. (We can then triple the number of pieces in the next row). Either by dividing two large adjoining rooms into four full-fledged rooms. (We can then double the number of pieces in the next row).
The parts located below the divided parts will therefore carry two or three drive systems on their upper edge, which is not a problem.
figure 8: exemples de découpes de ce type.figure 8: examples of cuts of this type.
--- 5i the lower edge of the large pieces to be divided into three is too narrow to allow the cuts, we can use an intermediate piece, which will oppose this lower edge (on the piece below), and have a semi-circular upper edge, convex upwards. On the semicircle will be inserted the three planned parts which will respect the usual opposition laws.
figure 9: pièce intermédiaire utilisée pour une augmentation du nombre des pièces dans un rang.figure 9: intermediate piece used to increase the number of pieces in a row.
--- If instead of flaring, the model has a reverse curvature, we can reduce the number of pieces by one row. An intermediate piece will allow the return of three adjacent pieces in a row to a single piece in the upper row. This intermediate piece must meet more stringent criteria than in the previous case.
( Ceci permettra de diviser par deux au maximum le nombre des pièces du rang suivant ).Its body will be of the same shape as before, but the semicircular edge will play the shape of the lower edge, facing the three pieces considered. This rounded edge must have a tongue (resp. A recess) with bevel looking forward, surrounded on either side by two recesses (resp. Tongues) with bevels of opposite orientation. (This will make the intermediate piece a key piece, bearing the distinctive sign chosen). We can not oppose such an intermediate piece to three pieces having on their upper edges the seal of a bevelling nesting system looking forward, draws back, and finally again forward. (This will make it possible to divide by a maximum of two the number of pieces of the next row).
Figure 10: intermediate piece used to reduce the number of pieces in a row.
--- To increase or decrease the number of horizontal rows (instead of varying the number of vertical columns as before) it will suffice to use the same cutouts of pieces and the same intermediate pieces by pretending to undergo a rotation of four- ninety degrees.
--- (A semi-circular edge acts as three edges whose angles are plenes: a part with a completely rounded outline being only a particular case of a quadrangular part).
Here are the principles essential to the realization of such a puzzle. The molding of each part makes it possible to envisage its industrial manufacture. I call this game TRI-PUZZLE (three-dimensional puzzle). It is a game that must combine the pleasure of patient research of the traditional puzzle with the satisfaction of assembling a model. It will be all the more attractive that the variety of models available is almost infinite, and that these will not be devoid of ertistic qualities. (Variant: the player, guided, will decorate his model himself).
