Abstract

Insert of overall cylindrical shape of which one end surface carries the handle of a paintbrush, for example for a cap intended to be connected by screwing onto the neck of a container. This insert carries on its end surface 11 a collar 4 with an external conical surface surrounding the paintbrush handle 2 at a distance.

Brush holder
The present invention relates, in general, to capsules or stoppers intended to be secured by screwing to the neck of a container, and more especially an insert for such capsules.

 Such capsules are, for example, used to close bottles containing volatile liquids. For this purpose, it is useful to provide a tight closure to prevent everything-once the liquid escapes from the bottle and that air enters said bottle and spoils the liquid it contains.

 The liquids contained in these bottles will be, for example, nail polish or other products to be spread by the user using a brush.

 It is usual to secure said brush to the closure cap for easy use. To this end, said brush is generally secured to an insert, placed inside said capsule.

 Such an insert is of generally cylindrical shape and has, at its end facing the bottle, a truncated cone carrying, on its small base, the brush rod.

 Such a truncated cone has ends of very different dimensions. I1 must, in fact, have a small base of dimension equivalent to that of the brush rod and a large base, of dimension equivalent to that of the opening of the bottle. The external surface of such a truncated cone is then widely inclined relative to the axis of the insert.

This makes sealing difficult to achieve when the bottle is capped.

 The invention aims to propose a new insert making it possible, in a simple manner, to seal a bottle tightly.

 To this end, an insert of generally cylindrical shape, one end face of which carries the rod of a brush, for example for a capsule intended to be secured by screwing to the neck of a container, is characterized in that it carries , on its end face1 a flange of conical external surface aiding surrounding the brush rod.

 The fact of providing the independent collar of the rod of the brush makes it possible to give the external surface thereof a slight inclination relative to the axis of the insert, which makes it possible to better control the seal between the neck of the bottle and insert.

 In addition, such inserts being generally produced by molding a plastic material, such as polyethylene, the flange according to the invention has greater flexibility than the closed cones usually used, which makes it possible to improve even 1 ' sealing.

 Figure 1 shows an insert of known type and generally used, such an insert is in the form of a cylindrical body t, intended to be placed inside a capsule, not shown. Usually, such an insert has an open face 10 and a closed face II, carrying the rod 2 of a brush whose end has not been shown.

 Said brush rod 2 is carried by a truncated cone 3, integral with the closed face il of the insert, the large base located on the body 1 is of diameter equivalent to that of the neck of the bottle to be closed, while the small base, on which the rod 2 of brush 1 depends is of diameter equivalent to said rod. We see in i the angle of inclination with respect to the axis xx 'of the insert of the external surface of the truncated cone 3.

 The truncated cone 3 can be full, as shown in hollowed out from the inside, in order to require less material for its manufacture.

 In Figure 2, 1 shows the insert according to the invention. Said insert present. like that of FIG. I, a cylindrical body 1 with an open face i and a closed face 11, on which the rod 2 of a brush depends. It will be noted that, for the insert according to the invention, the rod 2 of the brush depends directly on the closed face 11 from the insert itself.

 According to the invention, a collar 4 also depends on said face 11. Said collar 4, of low height, is located around the rod 2 of the brush, being independent of said rod.

 The collar 4 has an external diameter equivalent to the internal diameter of the neck of the bottle, it is therefore located at a significant distance from the rod 2 of the brush - which has, in turn, a significantly smaller diameter.

 The flange 4 has a conical external surface with an angle of inclination i ', with respect to the axis xx', much smaller than the angle i of the truncated cone 3 of FIG. 1.

 Such an arrangement ensures better collaboration of the external surface of the collar 4 with the internal surface of the neck of the bottle having to be closed by a capsule comprising such an insert. This gives an almost perfect quality seal.

 In addition, the flange 4 being open, it is much more flexible and is put in place more easily.

 Insert according to the invention has, moreover, the advantage of having a body I longer than the inserts usually used.

 A known insert is, as shown in Figure 1, of short length, because it is intended to be positioned against a stop that has the closure capsule. This increases the risk of leakage, by requiring good observance of an additional dimension, namely: the location of said stop.

 The insert according to the invention is provided in order to be supported by its open face 1 against the bottom of the capsule. I1 is thus much easier to provide it with a length such that its closed face it, provided with the collar 4, is in abutment against the neck of the bottle.

 An insert according to the invention provides another advantage relating to the use of the brush, the latter being directly dependent on the closed face lii has a longer rod 2 and thus more flexible.

Insert of generally cylindrical shape, one end face of which carries the rod of a brush, for example for a capsule intended to be secured by screwing to the neck of a container, characterized in that it carries, on its end face il, a flange 4, of conical external surface surrounding the rod 2 of the brush at a distance.  2. Insert according to claim 1, characterized in that the collar 4 has an external diameter similar to the internal diameter of the neck of the container.  3. Insert according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the external surface of the collar has a slight inclination relative to the axis of the insert.  4. Insert according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is of length such that its open face 1 is in abutment against the bottom of the capsule.
