Abstract

Device for brushing cattle. The invention relates to a device making it possible to brush cattle automatically. It consists of a cylindrical brush 5 supported by two swinging arms 6 fixed to a movable carriage 4. The brush 5 is rotated by an electric motor 7. The carriage 4 runs to-and-fro on two parallel rails 3 fixed to the posts 2 supporting the lateral partitions of a small cell or of a containment corridor. The to-and-fro movement is transmitted by two cables 10 fixed one to the front and the other to the back of the carriage 4 and connected to a shaft 8 on which it is wound or unwound alternately depending on the direction of rotation of the electric motor 7 which drives the shaft 8. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for brushing cattle in small cells or in a containment corridor.

Jusqu'à ce jour le brossage s'effectuait manuellement. Malgré son intérêt cette technique a été abandonnée en raison des coûts élevés de main-d'oeuvre- qu'elle nécessitait.  Until now, brushing was done manually. L'appareil de brossage faisant l'objet de la présente invention est constitué par une brosse cylindrique supportée par deux bras oscillants fixés sur un chariot mobile. La rotation de la brosse est assurée par un moteur électrique. Le chariot circule en va et vient sur deux rails parallèles fixés sur les poteaux supportant les cloisons latérales d'une logette ou d'un couloir de contention. Le mouvement de va et vient est transmis par deux cables fixés l'un à l'avant, l'autre à l'arrière du chariot et reliés à un arbre sur lequel il s'enroule ou se déroule alternativement selon le sens de rotation du moteur électrique qui entraine l'arbre.
