Abstract

The present invention relates to a device making it possible to keep a spot in electrical and mechanical contact on a rail consisting of sections which are connected together and to supply it with very low voltage electrical current. This device consists of a cylindrical socket 4 at the base of which two magnets 5 are placed enabling it to be kept on a conducting current rail 1 formed by sections consisting of strips 2 made of insulating material embedded in two U-shaped steel sectional profiles 3. When the user lays the spot on the rail 1, electrical contact is established by means of two metal studs 6 conveying the current to the lamp 7 located in the body of the spot 8 via two conductors 9 and then via two metal arms 10. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the attachment, and for the supplying with very low voltage electrical current, of halogen spots for lighting.
