Abstract

Description

 The present invention relates to a method for producing granite floor coverings.

 At present, local authorities organize pedestrian areas in urban areas which are generally made attractive by decorative floor coverings. The present invention therefore proposes to provide a method for producing such decorative floor coverings, especially for the development of all walkable paves spaces.

The method of producing granite floor coverings according to the present invention is essentially characterized by the succession of the following steps
a) we use various types of materials: on the one hand small granite pavers of different colors and dimensions, with sawed or broken faces, and on the other hand also slabs of variable dimensions and with sawed or splintered faces
b) laying said materials on a bottom of form using a mortar dosed at 200 or 300 kilos
c) vibrating the coating thus put in place
d) the joints are made using a barbottine dosed at 700 'or 800 kg and
e) The coating is washed and then covered with sawdust to obtain a tile-quality finish.

 As stated above, the invention therefore uses two types of materials, on the one hand small blocks and on the other hand slabs of the type opus quadratum ".

 The small blocks have a thickness of the order of 5 to 8 cm and variable dimensions ranging from 7 x 7 cm 10 x 10 cm for the face that is visible in the finished paving. Preferably, the distribution of pavers is from 70 to 80% of sawed-face pavers and from 20 to 30% of split-face pavers, these two types of pavers being alternated due to aesthetic considerations. Of course, these pavers are used according to the colors available for the granites.

 The slabs have dimensions ranging from 15 x 20 CI to 18 x 25 cm, which makes it possible to obtain a perfect walking surface and their distribution varies from 70 to 80% of slabs with sawn faces for 20 to 30% of faces slabs. exploded.
