Abstract

The invention relates to machines of the inter-row collector (straddling) type making it possible to unload harvests of crops in rows. It comprises a tipper 7 supported by three wheels one of which is a pivoting and driving wheel. The propulsion of the appliance is obtained by means of a heat engine 9 driving a hydraulic pump 10 associated with a hydraulic reduction gear 14. Amongst the most beneficial applications of the invention, mention may be made of the harvesting of various fruits and vegetables, and in particular the harvesting of artichokes.

The self-propelled straddler consists of three wheels, the front steering wheel of which is fitted with hydraulic propulsion obtained from a low-power heat engine.
