Abstract

Soluble fertilisers in tablet form, containing nutrient materials and an effervescence agent, so that the tablet bubbles and dissolves in water, are new. The fertilising material is conventional NPK fertiliser, and may also contain trace elements and anti-chlorosis agents that are difficult to solubilise. If desired insecticides and fungicides may also be included. The effervescence agent is pref. potassium carbonate with citric acid. The tablets pref. also contg. a dye, to give an instant indication that the fertiliser has been added to the water. USE/ADVANTAGE - The tablets are particularly suitable for the amateur gardener, being easy to handle and use, and giving a measured amount of fertilising material. The tablets are designed for adding to the contents of a watering can when plants are watered.
