Abstract

The packaging includes a rigid jacket (1), a plate (2) which carries the compact disc and slides into the jacket, and a hook (14) which allows the package to be suspended for retail display. The plate has a circular hollow (6) into which the disc fits so it lies below the plate surface. The plate adn the jacket are both pierced with a hole (3) at one corner to allow passage of a locking bolt (4) through both. An anti-theft tag is attached to the locking bolt. The jacket is formed as a hollow parallelepiped with internal guides for the plate. The plate has a grip bar (7) at one edge. The jacket is pierced along one edge with multiple holes fit over studs (13) attached to the lower edge of the hanging hook (14). ADVANTAGE - Packaging is simply constructed and allows attachment of anti-theft device so as to avoid interference from metallised layer on disc.
