Abstract

Device for establishing tug lines between an assisted ship or vessel and tug boats. This device, on board any ship or any floating vessel whose safety is to be enhanced, essentially consists of using two buoys whose drop keels are respectively stronger and less strong than the keel of the ship or of the vessel which is stopped in an equilibrium position with respect to the wind. These differences in keels are used for running out two floating reeving lines connected to two floating tug lines coming from the assisted ship or vessel. The tug boats may, on either side, make a link of their tug line with the floating tug line after shipping the line, whilst remaining distant from the assisted ship. The role of the crew of the ship in difficulty or of the vessel consists solely in assembling the buoys and the reeving lines with the floating tug lines and in allowing it all to be passed out to sea.

Description

Invention making it possible to simplify the procedures for establishing a trailer between an assisted vessel and an assistant vessel.

Any ship carrying polluting or dangerous cargoes; any deep sea towing machine could be fitted with the following device:
On the front part of the ship or of the machine, two double reels, the separation of which has a notch, allow the winding of two floating textile trailers (polypropylene for example), the ends of which can be unrolled simultaneously for each of them.

One end of each trailer is meshed with a short pant chain (1) 1/3 board, secured to the bridge.

These pants, one on each edge, pass through a fairlead and return on board, above the bulwark, before being meshed with textile trailers (2) board 1/3; this provision may be permanent.

For use, the free end of each textile trailer is connected to a floating line (3) 1/3 board, the other end of which is meshed with a buoy.

Each of the buoys has different characteristics:
- One (4) board 1/3 and board 2/3; speed V 3, will drift faster than the ship or the craft thanks to a small balloon sail, a kite or by its voluminous shape presenting a for @ taken in the wind for a weak immersion.

- The other (5) board 1/3 and board 3/3; of speed V 1, will drift less quickly than the ship or the machine thanks to a floating anchor or by its shape presenting a weak catch in the wind for a strong hull resistance.

After putting the buoys in the water, then spinning the lines and floating textile trailers, the assisted vessel or craft, of drift speed V 2, will present on either side of its stem and perpendicular to its axis, two sets "buoy - floating line - floating trailer", which it will be easy for towing vessels to embark on board and to mesh with their sea trailer (plate 1/3).

As a result, the intervention of the assisted vessel is minimal, a role consisting in putting two buoys in the water and controlling the spinning of textile lines and trailers under the effect of the buoys.

Tow ships, on the other hand, can maneuver safely, regardless of the state of the sea because they are well cleared from the mass of the assisting ship.
