Abstract

A demountable modular unit for storage and protecting from theft sports equipment such as windsurfing boards. Each compartment includes a hollow support 16 and a collar 17 for a mast, which is closed by pressing on a ring, a rigid strip 19 fitted with a central support section 191 for a float and two sides 192 lockable at their sides for a wishbone, a strap 20 to tighten the float against the central support section and a means of tensioning 21 the strap to keep the float tight against the central support section. The collar and the means of tensioning include operating devices which cannot be used when the door 5 is closed.

Description

 Storage compartment module, especially for sports equipment.

 The invention relates to a module for storage compartments, in particular for sports equipment, adapted to be used either alone or in combination with other similar modules.

 This module is intended to serve as a shelter for sports equipment, for example for water sports, users may have to store this equipment for long periods sometimes without being able to check frequently enough that the equipment does not been removed without their knowledge.

 Also, the module must be adapted to resist unwanted "visits" with or without break-in.

 To this end, its external locking device must be secure, and as an additional precaution, the important objects it contains must themselves be protected by individual internal locking devices; finally, it is necessary to provide means preventing the removal of objects stored in the compartments without having to open the door.

 These modules must also be able to withstand bad weather, remain at a moderate cost and maintenance cost, and really constitute an effective shelter avoiding the degradation of the stored material, by being in particular well ventilated.

 In addition, they must make it possible to fix the greatest number of types of boards possible, for example boards without drift wells, this mistletoe is not always the case of known modules, in which the locking of the float is sometimes ensured at by means of a member passing through the drift well.

 Another imperative is that the module can remain very stable; this requirement is not very difficult to satisfy on firm ground, for example cement, or a tarmac already known even on clay; but it is also necessary that this is the case on sand, pebbles, or soil saturated with water.

 The invention aims to solve these problems and to this end relates to a removable modular element for storing and protecting against theft of sports equipment such as windsurfing boards, of the type consisting of at least one enclosure comprising means for supporting and fixing the float, the mast and the boom, and in the form of a cell formed by two lateral walls in the shape of a rectangular trapezoid resting on the short side of the right angle and serving as uprights, which are interconnected by a bottom wall and by a raised front crossmember, this cell being divided vertically by parallel partitions forming narrow open-air compartments which are closed on their front face by individual doors with locking lock, element characterized by each compartment has at its lower part a hollow base intended to receive the mast and at its upper part a collar provided with a press closure device annular ion to prevent any undesirable sliding of the mast, and also comprises, near its upper end, a rigid strip provided with at least one central support part for the float and two sides for locking the side boom of the boom, said sides being spaced by a distance such that they can receive on either side of them the long branches of the wishbone when the latter is erected on a floor fixed to said cross member, and, substantially at the same height, a the float tightening strap also in the upright position and resting on said floor, against said central support part, said tightening strap being associated with tensioning means to keep said float tight against said strap and said central support part, said collar and said tensioning means comprising horn members, wave inactivable when the door is closed.

 The module illustrated by the figures, removable, is intended for storage and protection against theft of windsurfers. It consists of one or as here of several enclosure (s) comprising means of lifting and fixing of the float, the mast and its whiskey. I1 is in the form of a cell formed by two side walls 1 in the shape of a rectangular trapezoid resting on the short side of the right angle and serving as uprights, which are connected together by a bottom wall 2 and by a metal front cross member 3 raised above ground level; the cell is divided vertically by parallel partitions 4 mounted on the bottom 2 perpendicularly to it and whose region of the lower front corner is fixed to the cross member 3; these partitions 4 and possibly the side walls 1 determine the enclosures which are open-air compartments, closed on their front face by individual doors 5 with locking locks 6; the doors 5, conventionally, are mounted on hinges, and stopped for example by a vertical angle 'arranged so as to form a rebate behind which engages the bolt of the lock.

 The floor of the compartments, fixed to the cross-member 3, consists of a grid 7 of galvanized steel mounted on a frame 8 itself metallic and comprising an annular rubber grating damping the contact of the boards, allowing water and sand to pass through. ; the front crossmember 3, itself metallic, is surmounted, in the region of the chassis 8, by a bead 9 of damping and protective rubber of large section, to absorb shocks.

 Each compartment has a chest 10 for storing personal effects, one face of which is fixed to one of the side panels of the compartment, more precisely one of the partitions 4, or, in the case of an end compartment of the module, possibly a side wall 1 thereof. These boxes 10, made of lacquered aluminum sheet, have at their lower part and at their upper part, preferably on their face opposite to the partition 4 or to the wall 1 on which they are fixed, vents 11 for ventilation allowing indoor air circulation; inside these chests 10, three rods 12 make it possible to hang dry clothes sheltered from the weather, and to hang the sails 13 and the wet suits to dry them. These chests are sufficient, spacious enough to also allow the storage of daggerboards, straps, slats and other accessories; inside the boxes 10, a space is also provided for housing a safety box (not shown) which can be supplied as an option by the operator of the installation. The trunk of each compartment is locked by closing the compartment door. So that the compartment can receive a windsurfing float 14 fitted with a relatively large fin 141 without having to provide it with a large width, the base trunk 10 is located at a distance from the compartment floor; moreover, this base is inclined so that its highest part (therefore the furthest from the floor) is that which is opposite its partition or fixing wall; thus, the float 14 can be provided disposed relatively close to the trunk, fin 141 under the latter; this measure is advantageous because it should be remembered that the compartments must be relatively small in horizontal section and keep enough free space, to avoid being able to access it, for example from above, to commit theft or degradations.

 The location of the mast 15 is provided in front of the storage chest 10, between the latter and the compartment door; in this zone, for the substantially vertical positioning of the mast, a hollow base 16 in the form of a section of polyvinyl chloride tube is fixed to the floor; the mast is locked in place by a rubber-coated metal articulated collar 17 fixed to the upper part of the partition. This collar 17 is closed by a so-called "artillery" closure ensuring strong annular pressure on the mast 15 and preventing its sliding in particular upwards to remove it from the compartment even if its door is closed; also for this purpose, this closure is located in the immediate vicinity of the door so that its access and operation are prevented when the door is closed.

 The location of the whiskey 18 and the float 14 is provided against the face of the storage chest 10 which is opposite to its partition 4 or its wall 1 for fixing. For positioning the wishbone, a rigid band 19 such as a flat iron made of galvanized steel covered with rubber is fixed to the trunk, at the upper part of the latter, therefore of the compartment; the rigid strip 19 is attached to the trunk 10 at least in a part of the region thereof which is against its partition or fixing wall, on its neighboring faces (substantially perpendicular to the partition or wall in question), and on its opposite face (substantially parallel to this partition or wall) in areas close to the preceding faces; on the other hand, in the central zone of this latter face, the strip comprises a part located at a distance from the latter, which constitutes a support part for the float; this central support part 191 for the float is connected to the parts arranged against the trunk by two parallel sides 192 of lateral locking of the wishbone; these sides 192, perpendicular to the central support part of the float, have a length slightly greater than the thickness of a whiskey, and are spaced apart such that they can receive on either side of them the very long branches of the whiskey 18 when it is erected preferably by resting on the floor of the compartment, that is to say a distance less than the internal width of a whiskey in the corresponding region without the float 14 is locked and locked by a braided metal strap 20 coated with a rubber sheath, fixed at one of its ends to the face of the storage box which is substantially perpendicular to the partition or wall for fixing the latter and closest to the bottom 2, preferably substantially at the same height as the rigid strip 19 for positioning the wishbone, and consequently, in this case, on it; on the face of the trunk 10 which is parallel (therefore close to the door) and at the same level (therefore possibly on the rigid strip 19), is fixed a ratchet tensioner 21 having a traction capacity of 70 kg intended to tension this strap 20 by winding on this tensioner. Like the collar 17, the tensioner is close enough to the door 5 of the compartment so that the manipulation of its control members is impossible when this door is closed.

 As well for the float 14 as for the mast 15, the rubber beads, compressed, act as very effective brakes and prevent any sliding upwards of the elements thus blocked.

 The blocking of the float 14 against its bearing surface 191 on the rigid strip 19 simultaneously locks the wishbone 18 blocked forwards by the storage chest 10, behind by the float 14 itself, and laterally by the sides 192 lateral locking device also provided on the rigid strip 19t the rigid strip, thanks to its prominence constituted by the support part 191 of the float and the side locking flanks 192, also allows the vertical locking of the wishbone 18.

I1 is necessary that the module according to the invention remains very stable regardless of the type of soil on which it rests;
To this end, although it is of course possible to provide civil engineering works, foundation, sill, etc., it is advantageous to use a specific device for maintaining stability, suitable even in the case of soil. furniture (wet ground like sand, earth, pebbles for example).

 This device, shown in FIG. 5, is a removable parallelepipedal container comprising four lateral faces 22 made of folded sheet galvanized parallel two i two and a bottom 23 made of profiled sheet; the connection of the neighboring faces 22 is carried out by means of their nesting in one another and of a connecting axis (not shown) passing through the nested parts 221, 222 of the respective neighboring faces. The length of the tank is about 2.5 meters, its width of around thirty centimeters, and its height of around ten centimeters; its useful volume is therefore of the order of 0.75 cubic meters, which corresponds to approximately 1500 kilos of sand. The implementation of this tank is easy since it suffices to dig the soil to its dimensions, embed in the dug hole, and fill it with material removed from the hole; with its mass of around 1500 kg, it suffices to act as a foundation.

 The module according to the invention allows the storage of the material stored therein minimizing the risk of theft and damage, since the presence of doors with security lock and the small dimensions of the compartments and consequently the small size of the free spaces in the inside (distance of a few decimeters at most) prohibits even a small adult, or even a teenager or a child, from entering the interior, and the removal of objects from the compartments can therefore only be carried out with the door open .

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown above, and other embodiments can be provided without going beyond its ambit.
