Abstract

The aim of the present invention is to provide a seal covering the circumference of a glass pane, which will be applied onto the pre-existing glass pane of an ordinary window. The covering seal will serve as an intermediate element via one of its two lips between the two glass panes. The seal will be adhesively bonded onto the existing glass pane by means of a two-sided adhesive tape. The added glass pane is adhesively bonded in the seal. The air void will be produced by means of a needle passing through a previously made piercing in the structure and after forcibly passing through the part of the "intermediate" seal. This needle is connected to a vacuum pump. Description

I - TECHNICALSTATE
The present invention aims to save energy by double glazing on the elements already provided with panes.

 Patent n ° 2546 958 - n0 DEN 83 08911 is probably, the one closest to the one I present, so I will use it for comparison.

 The first referenced patent has the first drawback, that of having an apparent glass edge, which is therefore fragile and dangerous, whereas in the case I am presenting, the covering joint eliminates this problem.

 On the other hand, the above referenced patent uses an absorbent seal. In the case of high humidity, this seal may be found at water saturation, therefore the risk remains of condensation, mold and thermal bridge between the two panes, provided by the waterlogged seal. In my process, being.

since the trapped air is dried beforehand by a dehumidifier (optional) and removed using a needle connected to a vacuum pump, this problem is eliminated.

 The air intake hole being blocked after work with a flexible sealant, it is possible to re-intervene if necessary, using the needle through this sealant seal.

 The fact of creating a depression between the two panes (in the process which I present) accentuates the pressure made on the joint by the two panes at the end of work.

 The purpose of the system according to the invention is to install a window at least 4 mm thick that surrounds a flexible seal previously fixed on the window to be installed (see plan 1/2).

 The seal does not allow any thermal bridge between the two panes.

 The flexible seal framing the added glass covers this in its thickness, thus avoiding any subsistence of a dangerous dangerous edge (see plan 2/2).

 Once the window has been laid by gluing with an essential silicone base, using a hollow needle connected to a vacuum pump, we pass through a hole in the window pillar, for example, to forcefully cross the flexible seal. The vacuum pump started up sucks the air trapped in the double glazing, thus creating a relative vacuum (see plan 2/2).

 The vacuum thus created strengthens the adhesion of the assembly to its support and ensures better bonding.

 This same depression would limit any projection of glass, in case of breakage thereof.

 The air being removed, there is no longer any risk of condensation inside the assembly, no more thermal bridge and reduction in the passage of outside noise.

 This work is not very complicated to execute and can be carried out on site, the material not being bulky. In case of broken glass it is easy to replace one or the other by removing the sealant, the complete module is available for repair then it is enough to replace it like a putty glass.

 The method provides a variant, this consists of drying the air at 30% relative humidity before mounting the double window.

 A safety glass option can be adopted to deal with the insurance problem.

 The glass surface to be maintained remains the same unlike glazing.

 The assembly is aesthetic and leaves only a slight edging of 6 mm thick around the glass that can be seen by being attentive and warned. This keeps a maximum of style.

 The cost is reduced because only one window is used, the other already existing. It is not necessary to have a factory and therefore a structure leading to large overhead costs.

RESULTS OBTAINED BY EXPERIENCE
Consumption of domestic fuel from a pavilion of 120 m2 habitable and heated by central heating, hot water included.

These results were obtained without air gap between the panes, there is every reason to believe that once the air gap has been established, the savings must exceed 50%.

Claims (3)

 1) Double glazing seal, for existing single-pane windows, characterized in that the fixing of the flexible seal comprising a thickness of approximately 5 mm, serving as a spacer between the two panes, a lip covering the outer edge of the pane reported and an interlocking groove of the fitted glass bonded by an adherent binder, this providing security in handling the installation and once the work is done.  2) Joint according to claim 1 characterized in that the method of pumping air between the two panes, by a hole made in the structure and a force passage in the joint by a hollow needle. When the pumping is finished, the seal closes on the withdrawal of the needle and a putty is injected into the hole made in the structure.  3) Seal according to claim 1 characterized in that the method of drying the air at 30% relative humidity before and during the period of installation of the double glazing.
