Abstract

The invention relates to the hitching fixtures of trailers in which the balance of the coupling point is located in front of the rear wheels of the towing vehicle, and which exhibits the following characteristics: - they are fixed to the anchoring points provided by the constructor, under the chassis of the vehicle; - they have no point of contact with the bodywork of the vehicle; - they are made in two parts: a part which is fixed permanently under the chassis and a moving part which can be dismounted instantaneously. The hitching fixture which forms the subject of the invention comprises: - a cross-member with slides 3 which is integral with the dismountable element 2, and comes to bear on the roof of the towing vehicle, thus preventing any oscillation between trailer and vehicle; - a system for stabilising pitching using a bending bar 12 sliding at one of its end in a bracket 8 and, at its other end, slotting into a vertical sheath provided in the upper part of the element 2; - a system for holding the element 2 during hitching and unhitching manoeuvres so that it remains integral with the trailer.
