Abstract

The method according to the invention is implemented on a compost spawned with mycelium and covered with a layer formed by a material capable of encouraging the mycelium to be fruitful. It is characterised in that it consists in producing the layer 3 covering the compost 2 by means of a material having an aerated texture which is intimately applied against the compost and which is kept sufficiently moist in order to allow the mushrooms to develop normally on its surface. The material having an aerated texture is preferably a fibrous material. Application to the growing of cultivated mushrooms.
