Abstract

This device consists of a parallelepipedal magazine 6 receiving a stack of inserts 5 and including a base 7 consisting of a slide which, driven in a to-and-fro movement, is at least twice as long as the length of the magazine and has a window 8 which, when the slide 7 is at the rear end of travel, extends under the rear zone of the inserts 5 and over their entire width opposite a system 9 for pneumatic gripping by suction located below and driven in an up-and-down movement, synchronised with the displacement movement of the slide 7, such that, when the gripping system 9 seizes the corresponding end of the insert, by sucking it, through the window of the slide and below the magazine and thus in its foreward displacement movement, the transverse edge 12 of the slide 7 delimiting the rear edge of the window 8 progressively but completely separates the lower insert 5 which then falls under gravity onto an underlying support.
