Abstract

The present invention relates to a basket for stone-filling, in which the lateral faces 1, the bottom face 2 and the top face consist of rectangular trellises formed by mesh wires 3 intersecting at right angles, the trellises representing meshed elements which are separate from each other and in which the constituent wires 3 are bent over, at all their ends, in order to form rings 4 into which connection rods 5 are inserted in order to join the trellises in the form of a basket, these rods being themselves also bent over, at least at one of their ends, in order to form a ring 6. According to the invention, the rings 6 of the connection rods 5 have, in the longitudinal direction of the latter, a greater dimension than in the transverse direction. These baskets are intended to be filled with stones with a view particularly to the construction of retaining or facing walls.

The present invention relates to a stone basket, in particular for the production of retaining and covering walls for roads, forest paths and garden constructions, as well as for the construction of works of defense against torrents. and of river constructions, basket in which the side walls, the bottom wall and the top wall are constituted by rectangular trellises formed by grid wires crossing at right angles, the trellises representing mesh elements distinct from each other. whose constituent wires are folded back, at all their ends, to form rings in which connecting rods are inserted to join the trellis in the form of a basket, these rods also being folded, at least at the 'one of their two ends, to form a ring.

 The baskets of stone, whose walls are formed by intertwining threads, have been known for many years.

The walls are connected together, along their edges, by tucked in wires. These baskets of stones, which are filled with stones in the finished works or constructions, are not able to resist the loads developed so that one attends, in a short time, a bursting of the interlacing of wire or bonds of their edges.

 There are also stone baskets whose structure meets the definition given above in the preamble. In other words, the side walls, the bottom wall and the top wall of these baskets are formed by rectangular lattices of wire mesh crossing at right angles. These trellises form mesh elements distinct from each other and whose constituent wires are folded back, at the level of all of their ends, to define rings. Connecting rods are engaged in the rings to join the trellises in the form of a basket. The connecting rods are also folded there, at least at one of their two ends, to form a ring.

 These last stone baskets are very stable in use and more resistant than the first described baskets, formed of intertwined threads.

 The present invention aims to further improve these wire baskets, and in particular to simplify the assembly of the trellises in the form of a basket.

 To do this, the present invention provides a basket of stones of the type specified in the preamble, which is characterized in that the rings of the connecting rods have, in the longitudinal direction of the latter, a larger dimension than in the transverse direction.

 The advantages of this stone basket will be explained in detail below.

An embodiment of the stone basket according to the invention will now be described in more detail, but only by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which

 The stonework basket, exemplified in FIG. 1, has four side walls 1 and a bottom wall 2. All these walls are formed by rectangular lattices made of wire 3 crossing at right angles. The ends of the wire 3 are, in their entirety, folded back to form rings or loops 4. Connection rods 5 are introduced into the rings 4 of the wire 3 to assemble the trellis in the form of a basket . At at least one of their two ends, these connecting rods 5 are also bent in the form of rings or loops 6. In the longitudinal direction of the connecting rods, these rings or loops 6 have a larger dimension than in The transverse direction of the rods. Advantageously, each ring or loop 6 closes on the respective connecting rod 5, forming with it an acute internal angle and the ends of the rings or loops 6 are welded to the rods. Inside the basket, spacers 7 are mounted between the different side walls 1 to prevent the basket filled with stones from bulging. The welding points of the rings or loops 4 on the grid wires 3, crossing at right angles, of the trellis, are advantageously located inside the basket.

 The wire 3 are preferably made of metal, and for example of galvanized iron. However, it is also possible to make them from an appropriate plastic material. Metal or plastic profiles can also be used.

 In order for the basket to be filled with small stones, the width of its meshes must be reduced. To this end, attached lattices 8 are fixed on the inner faces of the side walls 1, as shown in FIG. 3.

 The basket, which has just been described, has the advantage that, thanks to the reduction in the size of the rings or loops 6 in the direction of the respective connecting rods 5 the rods embedded in one another are firmly secured to each other , immutable and with all the guarantees of security as shown in Figure 2.
