Abstract

The invention relates to the technical and architectural systems employed for the conversion into hotels of Freycinet barges usually intended for the haulage of goods. The present method is based on the dividing up of the hotel's functions, each barge having a particular function: the reception/dining/technical services barge 1, the rooms barge 2, and the general purpose hall barge 3. The barges retain complete mobility. When in the hotel configuration, they are moored to a quay or bank and connected to each other by walkways 4 for the use of users and technical networks. According to the accommodation needs of the hotel in any particular site, one or more barges may still be moved, removed or added.
