Abstract

Apparatus for strengthening muscles in the water, for competition swimmers. The invention relates to an apparatus permitting the strengthening of muscles in water, for competition swimmers. It is composed of a constant-torque generator 1 which, by means of a mechanical transmission 2, drives a coupling 3 mounted on the shaft of a winch 4, which rolls up a cable 5 fastened to the swimmer's waist. The apparatus according to the invention is intended particularly for muscle development in water, for competition swimmers.

La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné au renforcement musculaire dans l'eau des nageurs de compétition. The present invention relates to an apparatus for strengthening muscles in water for competitive swimmers.

A ce jour, le travail musculaire dans l'eau des nageurs de compétition s'effectue selon les procédés suivants: - Elastique, dit "Sandow" - Bloc de mousse, dit "Araignée" - Contrepoids, dit "Panier" qui correspondent respectivement à:
1) Elastique, dit "Sandow" - Fig. 1
Le nageur est relié au plot de départ du bassin par un élastique fixé à sa ceinture.

L'appareil comporte un générateur de couple constant (1) qui, par l'intermédiaire d'une transmission mécanique (2), entraîne un coupleur (3) monté sur l'arbre d'un treuil (4), lequel enroule un filin (5) fixé à la ceinture du nageur.
