Abstract

a. System allowing audio-visual marking of the position of persons and equipment which are lost in uninhabited areas where investigation is difficult. b. It comprises a housing containing a transmitter with, in combination, one inflatable photoluminescent balloon serving both as an antenna support and as a visual beacon with audible devices (howlers) and flashing elements. c. The invention may be used individually or collectively to allow persons to identify themselves, in the course of expeditions, journeys, explorations, races or any movements, in areas devoid of any current tracking or surveillance, after they have been the victims of an accident or an incident on a journey which puts their life in danger, if the emergency services do not identify them sufficiently quickly to bring them the necessary help.
