Abstract

Polishing machine, in particular for slabs of granite, marble and other similar materials, comprising a support 1 which moves on two guiding rails 11A, 11B on which a movable trolley 2 equipped with a polishing unit is displaced laterally on two rails. According to the invention the polishing system comprises a rotating turret 4, carrying a plurality of grinding tools 5-6-7-8, of various roughness.

Description

The present invention relates to a machine for automatic polishing of slices of marble, granite and other similar material without the operator intervening during the different work phases.
The polishing of these materials is usually carried out with traditional machines having a single abrasive spindle, which requires operator intervention to change the abrasives at each working phase.

 To obtain perfect polishing, it is necessary to change the abrasives four to five times, which must have a different particle size.

 There are also machines with automatic change of abrasives, but given the complexity of these machines, the downtime for changing these abrasives and the relatively high cost of the machine, the cost of polishing the M2 is very high.

 The device according to the invention makes it possible to reduce the dead time caused by the change of abrasives.

 Referring to Figure I, it can be seen that the polishing machine shown has a mobile support subject to being displaced as a whole in the longitudinal direction on two guide rails 11 A and 11 B.
