Abstract

Description

 The present invention relates to an ultrasonic emission device intended to leak small harmful animals such as mice, rats, rodents and certain birds, essentially consisting of a waterproof housing and a rigid antenna in the shape of a stake. .

 Different known systems from different techniques have been and are still used, but the miniaturization of electro-acoustic devices with ultrasonic emission has made it possible to develop devices making them unbearable for said harmful animals in a certain area where the device is implanted.

 The object of the present invention is to propose an apparatus having certain advantages compared to existing apparatuses in particular when one wants to hunt the small rodents which live underground.

 The devices currently known to the public mainly consist of a sealed housing containing the power supply batteries and the ultrasonic emitting apparatus which, installed on one of the walls of the housing, gives a unidirectional emission.

In the particular case of the remoteness of small rodents and to be fully effective, said device must be buried, which requires several operations, namely
- to protect and improve the seal by enclosing said device in a plastic bag
- make a hole in the ground to bury it and multiply these holes by changing location;
- leave it in permanent operation once buried, hoping that it is pointing in the right direction.

 It is easily understood that the use of such an apparatus has certain major drawbacks in lawns and pleasure gardens by repeated burial.

 The present invention proposes to overcome these disadvantages by a device designed differently, although it also uses the well-known properties of ultrasound, without having to det4riorer the ground, without the need for garden utensils, easily movable in n ' any chosen location, easily identifiable by its case remaining in the open air and very easy to use at the option of its user who can interrupt at any time the operation of the device by manipulating the switch outside the case.

 For this purpose, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the box containing the transmitter and the supply batteries is rigidly fixed by known mechanical means to the upper part of a preferably metallic tube and of which said part upper is centered on a piece preferably also metallic whose internal part has the shape of a kind of convergence directed towards the inside of the tube. The upper part of this part serves as a support for the ultrasonic transmitter. The lower part of the tube is closed by a piece of metal, also conical from the factory, the point of which is directed downwards. The tube thus equipped forms a pile which can be easily inserted into the ground or extracted with a minimum of degradation leaving a hole 12 mm in diameter and 200 mm deep corresponding to the dimensions of the tube.

 By this exclusive configuration, the device can also be used by leaving the stake-antenna in the open air also emitting a field of multi-directional ultrasonic waves harmful to the pests evolving on the ground and even some birds.

 To extend the autonomy of the device, a timer has been incorporated in the power supply circuit of the ultrasonic generator causing intermittent emissions.

 The following description will make it easier to understand the present invention with the aid of the single appended figure.

 As shown, the device consists of a waterproof case (I) containing the ultrasonic transmitter (3) fixed on a convergent (4) including a base (4 ') allowing the connection overall of the housing (I) with the pile-antenna (2) ending in a conical piece (2 ') forming a peak.

 The box (1) also contains the electrical source (6) consisting of batteries or battery, the supply circuit with its timer (5) and on the front face, the waterproof switch (7) for commissioning the device.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the extension element (2) allows the device to operate in the open air or underground after having driven it into the ground. 3. Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the extension element (2) or pile-antenna avoids all work and deterioration of the soil, easily spotted and movable in the middle of plantations. 4. Device according to revencication 1, characterized in that the hollow pie 2 has a mouth in the form of a convergent 4 directing the ultra-sounds towards the interior of the tube.
