Abstract

The novel textile wall covering tiles, for example of the fitted carpet type, are characterised in that they have an outline in the shape of a cross whose arms have preferably equal widths and lengths enabling the identical tiles to fit together exactly in order to form a stable continuous covering without requiring the tiles to be fixed against the wall.

Claims

1. New textile covering tiles for walls, in particular for floors, characterized in that they have a cruciform outline, the branches of which have lengths and widths allowing an exact overlapping of identical tiles with one another to form a continuous covering.

2. New tiles according to claim 1, characterized in that the width and the length of the different branches are all equal.

3. New tiles according to claim 1, characterized in that the widths of the branches are all equal to each other, the lengths of three of the branches being equal to said width while the length of the fourth branch is equal to twice the width.

4. New tiles according to claim 1, characterized in that the width of at least two of the branches is greater than the width of the other branches.

5. New tiles according to any one of claims 1 to 4, in particular of the carpet type, characterized in that they comprise a bituminous or PVC backrest surmounted by a tufted or needled textile assembly.
