Abstract

Safety lock for cupboards. The proposed lock is composed of a two-part body of the conventional lock type and of a safety system composed of a movable tumbler 2 which, coming up against the bolt 1, prevents the latter from being opened. To obtain the opening of the lock, it is necessary to lift the tumbler 2 and at the same time slide the bolt 1 (after disengaging it from its seat). Only the two operations carried out at the same time ensure the opening of the lock. When the bolt 1 is being closed, the tumbler 2, being free on its axle, will automatically fall by its own weight and come up against the end of the bolt, ensuring the mechanical locking of this lock.
