Abstract

The present addition relates to the field of therapeutic chemistry. It relates more particularly to ointments with anti-cellulitis activity, characterised in that they contain one or more bioflavonoids combined with the mother tincture of Hedera helix and with the mother tincture of Fucus vesiculorum with the excipients and adjuvants required for producing ointments or creams. These preparations find a use in the therapeutic field.

Description

 In his French patent application 72.39351 filed on November 7, 1972 under the title "New ointment with anti-cellulithic action, the applicant described a new ointment having an action against cellulite.

 This ointment is characterized in that it contains as active ingredients on the one hand a dilution of Folliculinum 3CH and, on the other hand, mother tinctures of Hedera helix and Fucus vesiculorum. This ointment can also be supplemented with other active ingredients such as aromatic essences which have a tonic action on the circulation in the lymphatic vessels.

 In a first certificate of addition filed on July 20, 1984 under number 84/11505, the plaintiff noted that the dilution of Folliculinum 3CH could advantageously be replaced by a plant extract containing or containing active principles endowed with estrogenic properties such as the extract hops, willow, olive leaves, cotton seeds, alfalfa extract or sweet clover extract.

 However, the Applicant has now found that the Folliculinum 3CH dilution could also be replaced by a plant extract rich in flavonic substances or, better still, by a pure flavonic substance.

 The term flavonic or bioflavonic substance denotes a pure compound or a mixture of chemical compounds endowed with vitamin P properties, that is to say capable of acting on capillarity, on venous tone and on capillary resistance. A certain number of these substances is designated under the general term of ci troflavonoides, because their main source is found in the barks of Aurantiaceae and in particular in the peels of citrus such as lemon, orange, mandarin or grapefruit.

 Bioflavonoids, while constituting a homogeneous pharmacological group, do not belong to a homogeneous chemical class.

They are genins or glucosides derived from flavanones,: rla-vonols, flavone, anthocyanins or aurones
It is therefore possible to use in the context of the present addition a mixture of bioflavonoids such as an extract of the peel of lemons, blueberry fruit or blackcurrant, or else a pure product defined as Naringin, llHeperidine, Morin, Kaempferol, Luteolin, Rhoifoline, Scutarellin, Catechins, Diosmin, Rutin, Pelargonidine, Quercitin, Eryodictol.

 It is also possible to use a mixture of two or more substances from the group of bioflavonoldes.

 The bioflavanoid content can vary within extensive limits depending on the degree of permeability of the skin barrier to one or other of these active ingredients. Preferably, the bioflavonold content will be between 1 and 10%.

 According to the invention, the bioflavonold is distributed in an ointment excipient to which an emulsifying agent, a natural or synthetic fatty excipient and water or an aqueous vehicle in sufficient quantity are incorporated if desired to form an ointment or cream for creaminess. suitable for application or massage on the part of the body affected by cellulite.

Among the suitable emulsifying agents, mention will be made more particularly of fatty acid and polyalcohol esters such as, for example, polyethylene glycol stearates, diou tripropylene glycol stearates, fatty acid amides such as igepons, brijs, spans or tweens.

The creams may also contain stabilizing agents, antioxidant agents, antibacterial agents, antifungal agents, perfuming, odorous or coloring agents.

 In a preferred way, it is particularly recommended to prepare a fluid cream, not very creamy, non-greasy to the touch, the penetration of which into the tissues is rapid without risk of greasing the skin or of leaving a colored deposit or a pulverulent residue.

 The ointment according to the present addition is distributed in jars or tubes, in flexible plastic bottles or even in soft gelatin capsules. The choice of container or container is made according to the consistency of the anti-cellulite preparation, the application surface and the dose to be applied.

 The following examples illustrate the invention. They do not limit it in any way.

CLAIMS The purpose of this addition is  10) New ointments with anti-cellulite action in accordance with those claimed in application 72-39351, characterized in that they contain one or more bioflavonoids associated with the mother tincture of Hedera helix and with the mother tincture of Fucus vesiculorum.  2) An ointment according to claim 10) in which the bio flavonoid is a citroflavonolde.  30) An ointment according to claim 10) in which the citroflavonoide is a mixture of active ingredients extracted from the bark of Aurantiaceae.  40) An ointment according to claim 10) in which the bio-flavonoid is a flavone, a flavanone, a flavonol or an anthocyanidin.
