Abstract

The linear adjustment device for seats of land, sea or air vehicles consists of a U-shaped support 1 containing, at its upper portion, a double cam 11 which can move rotationally and on which there are placed two pairs of horizontal blades 2, 3, 5, 6 arranged in a sandwich and able to slide in pairs in the opposite directions to one another, these blades being subjected to the action of rollers 8, contained in a cage 9 so that in the normal position of the cam 11, that is to say when the latter is arranged in the direction of its largest width perpendicular to the two pairs of blades 2, 3, the rollers 8 are locked at three points, one point on the upper blade 6 and two points against the portion of the upper cage 9 under the effect of any longitudinal force applied to one of the parts.
