Claims (9)

  1. A liquid laundry detergent composition capable of washing and softening soiled fabrics in a   aqueous washing liquid, characterized in that take:   (a) a nonionic surfactant as a prin-   main surfact; (b) a quaternary ammonium cationic compound-type fabric softening agent selected from the compounds of the formula: wherein R 1 is a long-chain aliphatic radical of 16 to 22 carbon atoms, and the three R's each independently represent lower alkyl radicals, and X is a salt forming anion; (c) an anionic surfactant in about the same amount as the cationic softening agent (b)   tissues; said anionic surfactant being a C8-alkyl   Linear C26) aromatic sulfonate; and (d) a liquid vehicle.   2. Composition according to claim 1, characterized   in that the nonionic surfactant is an alcohol   phage having about 8 to 22 carbon atoms or an alkyl   higher phenol having about 12 to 20 carbon atoms, ethoxylated with about 5 to 50 moles of ethylene oxide; the cationic fabric softener is chosen from tallow-trimethyl ammonium chloride, tallow chloride   hydrogenated trimethyl ammonium, stearyl tri   methyl ammonium chloride, stearyl triethyl ammonium chloride, cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride,   soy-trimethylammonium, stearyl-dimethyl chloride   ethyl-ammonium, tallow-diisopropylmethyl   ammonium, and the corresponding sulfates, methylsulfates, ethylsulfates, bromides and hydroxides; the surfactant   anionic is chosen from linear alkyls in Clo-C4) -   benzene-sulfonates, and the liquid vehicle is a medium   aqueous solution containing up to 20% by weight of a lower alkanol   a lower diol or a polyol as a solvent additional.   8. Composition according to claim 3, characterized   in that it comprises: (a) about 10 to 30% of the nonionic surfactant,   (b) approximately 5 to 10% of the fabric softener   tissue, (c) about 5 to 10% of the anionic surfactant, and (d) the remainder consisting of detergent builders and an aqueous liquid vehicle, and the ratio (a) :( b) being 1.1: 1 at 4.5: 1 and the report (b) :( c) being from 1.1: 1 to 1: 1.1.   9.
