Abstract

Bracket of a gutter intended for the installation of a gutter on a roof. The device consists of a stem 2 ribbed over its whole length and equipped with anchorage holes 5, an eyelet 13 allowing the insertion of the key 14 which locks the tie, an oblong element 4 allowing the fixing of the cradle 1 by the bolt 3. The cradle 1 is equipped at the rear with a tab 8 folding over on the gutter, its shape ends at the front with the snug 6, of a tab 7 which, after being folded over, receives the necking 10 of the tie 11 through the orifice 9. The invention is intended to improve the connections between the three elements: construction material, gutter and bracket.

Description

 The present invention relates to a gutter support which: - Ensures the maintenance of the gutter by a total belt.

- Prevents deformation of the flange using a guide pin.

 Several supports of different designs already exist. The oldest are in curved flat iron in the shape of the gutter. They include either a sheet metal tab at each end of the curve, or an eyelet on one end allowing the passage of an iron wire fixing to a stabilized part.

 More recently in order to reduce the cost price appeared the stamped sheet hook composed of a cradle and a pole.

 All these techniques have the drawback of supporting, in addition to the weight of the gutter, the forces due to the masses of water, snow or ice forming after blockage of the discharge pipes.

 Most of these constraints are concentrated on the lower part of the pole, which eventually subsides over time.

 The present invention, to eliminate this handicap, benefits from a tie connecting the front end of the cradle to the upper part of the stanchion firmly anchored, so as to retransmit the forces on the building materials of the roof.

Another originality of this invention is the addition, at the front end of the cradle, of a guide pin having two functions: - To facilitate the mounting of the gutter by guiding it in its position
definitive by preventing it from hunting inward for
the front tongue folding operation.

- - Limit the deformation of the zinc rod due to clima changes
ticks (dilation-retraction), by the support of a ladder or by rubbing
a lot of branches.

 The hook is made of stamped galvanized sheet. The cradle is stiffened, along the entire length of the curve, by a rib starting with a large section on the rear part and gradually reducing to a point on the front part. The heel of the cradle has four holes for different kinds of fastenings on building materials.

The front tongue, used to secure the flange, is pulled into the mass. At the end, a light of rectangular section is intended to receive a metal tie. The rear tab is attached by welding points. The pole is stiffened by two parallel ribs on its longitudinal edges. Unlike the techniques known to date, these ribs are made upwards. This eliminates possible breaking points, especially at the elbow.

Indeed the mechanical traction which acts on the elbow of the pole, will be carried out by compressing the metal instead of giving rise to a stretching which frequently results in a tearing. The tie is in the form of a strip of sheet metal notched at the two ends so as to ensure perfect positioning by very simple handling.

 Figure 1 shows an overview of the different parts making up the hook.

 The cradle 1 is coupled to the pole 2 by a hexagonal bolt 3 in the oblong 4 intended for the slope adjustments. The hook thus assembled is fixed by nails or screws to the building materials by the three holes 5. The gutter is placed on the cradle, taking care to house the guide pin 6 under the flange. After having folded the tabs 7 and 8, the light 9 of the cradle receives the cut part 10 of the tie rod 11. A quarter turn makes it possible to block the tie rod in the light. The oblong 12 of the tie rod, used to correct the differences in height due to the positioning of the cradle on the pole, is placed on the eyelet 13. The key 14 traps the tie rod. To ensure final blocking of the assembly, the sheet metal remaining at the rear of the key is folded over the eyelet.

 Figure 2 corresponds to a top view of the main assembled elements.

 Figure 3 shows a longitudinal section of the hook and the gutter in their final position.

 While remaining within the scope of the present invention, various modifications can be made to improve the description given.

1 Gutter hook with reinforced structure characterized by  what it includes a lug blocking lug and a tie rod  made of the same metal as the hook (galvanized sheet or  stainless steel) connecting the end of the cradle to the set materials  truction. 2 Gutter hook according to claim 1 characterized  in that it includes an end anchoring device  hanging on building materials. 3 Gutter hook according to claim 2 characterized  in that it has two notches l0 at the front end  allowing the introduction into the light 9 of the hook. 4 Gutter hook according to claim 2 characterized  in that the tie rod has an oblong 12 at the rear  sliding on the eyelet 13 of the pole. 5 Gutter hook according to claim 2 characterized  in that the tie rod is trapped by a key 14 on  which is folded back the sheet metal. 6 Gutter hook characterized according to claim 1 in  what it includes a cutout blocking lug 6  in the mass, located at the front end of the curve.
