Abstract

The post cap, esp. for a tubular metal post used as a support for metal fencing, has a tongue (2) which extends downwards from the outer edge of the cap, and a hook (3) which is made from a cut-out portion of the tongue, bent outwards and upwards. The cap is designed to fit tightly on top of the post (5), keeping out any dirt or moisture, while the hook can be used to support the fence or hold a tensioning wire.
