Abstract

The invention relates to devices fitted to shoes (boots) for preventing the user from slipping and falling. The teeth are made to project and are retracted without it being necessary to bend down, as is customary. The device comprises a stud (crampon) plate 1 sliding in a housing of the heel of the shoe (boot) 3 and held in a projecting position by an immobilising button 7, permanently under the action of its spring 9. The teeth 2 are retracted by pressing on the button 7. A variant consists in mounting the device in a moulded frame fixed behind the heel of the shoe (boot). Among the most interesting applications of the invention, ski boots, après-ski boots, hunting or mountain boots may be mentioned.

Description

The present invention relates to non-slip devices that are placed under shoes to prevent skidding on slippery surfaces.

In known devices of this kind, the crampons are removable and fixed to the heels of the shoe by systems which are placed and fixed by hand, which means that they have to bend down whenever they want to put on or take off the crampons. . In addition, they have the disadvantage of being easily lost because they do not hold securely and we forget to take them when they would be useful. The return and exit of the teeth can also be controlled by shocks imprinted on the shoe, but the resulting forces are insufficient to ensure proper operation under normal conditions of use, that is to say, in snow, mud and fouling resulting from use in contact with the ground.

The crampon according to the invention makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks, it is, in fact integral with the shoe, since it is placed in a molded housing in the back of the heel. teeth because these movements are controlled by the tip of the shoe of the free foot, which represents sufficient force in all cases. The device, very simple is reliable because the parts are robust and their functions very safe.

According to a first variant, the mounting of the device is provided during the manufacture of the shoe and the parts are mounted in a molded housing during the manufacture of the sole. This is the simplest solution: the crampon plate slides vertically and occupies two extreme positions: the high position (retracted teeth) in which the pressure of the locking spring retains the crampon plate, and the low position (extended teeth) obtained by a pressure of the free foot on the top of the crampon plate. Maintaining in this position is ensured by the penetration of the large diameter of the locking button into the large master of the openwork & of the crampon plate this, by the pressure of the button spring. The locking button is held in place by a threaded ring on which it strikes violently at the end of the race. The resulting noise guarantees that blocking is carried out.

According to a second variant, the device is mounted in a rolled frame intended to be fixed to the rear of a shoe heel. It has the same parts and the same operation, but does not have a file ring; since the parts are kept in the frame during its contagion on the heel of the shoe.

As shown, the device comprises a plate-2 ~ ampon (fig 1 to 5) provided with teeth 2 which come out when ag-lyé on the top of the clamp-plate 1 which slides freely towards the low and is kept in its extreme low position because the large diameter 6 of the locking button 7 (fig 6) has entered the large diameter 4 of the openwork of the crampon plate 1 (fig 2) under the action of its spring 9o This function is instantaneous, brutal; this results in a violent impact on the threaded ring 11, the very audible noise of which indicates that the teeth 2 have come out and are well maintained.

When you want to enter the teeth -2, you must leave the heel 3 pressed to the ground and with the end of the shoe free, hit the button 7 which comes in, the spring 9 is compressed, the reach 6 of large diameter of the button 7 moves back into its housing and the bearing surface 10 (fig 4) is no longer in the plane of the cleat plate 1 which., no longer retained by the button 7 rises again under the pressure exerted by the weight of the The narrow part 5 of the adjustment of the crampon 1 receives the small diameter 8 of the button 7 (fig 3 and 4) which, always receiving the pressure of its spring 9 presses with its reach 10 (fig 6) and keeps the clamp plate 1 in the high position (fig 3 and 4)
The mounting of the device is done by sliding the cleat plate in its housing until the large diameter 4 of its cutout matches, with the housing of the button 7 thick by driving in the bolt 7 provided with its spring 9. It then presses fully on the button 7, then reassemble the crampon plate 1. The assembly is then blocked by the spring 9 and the threaded ring can be freely screwed in fully.
In the variant with an attached frame, the functions are exactly the same. the difference is in the assembly which is done by placing the button 7 and its spring 9 by the back of the frame. The entire device is enclosed by the installation of the frame 15 on the heel 3
The device, object of the invention, can be used in all cases where a walker risks slipping and especially when it is likely to walk on fragile ground with the same shoes.

Particularly interesting applications can be in ski and après ski boots; the teeth must be retracted when the boot is on the ski and taken out as soon as the skier has left his skis and, on the other hand, the teeth must be taken out when walking on the snow with his apres-ski and then returned when you enter a house.
