Abstract

Apparatus comprising a means for successively feeding the packets to be processed along an axis perpendicular to the main axis of the cigarettes, a means for separating the said packets into two parts through a plane perpendicular to this main axis and passing at the tip of the tobacco rolls, a means for guiding the part containing the tobacco rolls towards a means for propelling the said part at a speed approximately parallel to the main axis of the cigarettes, a means for suddenly stopping the part of the packet enclosing the tobacco rolls, and a means for evacuating the said part.
