Abstract

The present invention relates to a toothbrush 1 with a brushing element that can be removed and disposed of, in such a manner that the latter is positioned on the brush handle via longitudinal sliding, anchoring being ensured by the trapezoidal cross-section of the sole plate 2 of brush 1 and its housing, as well as by snugs 3 with which the sole plate 2 is provided on its lateral faces. The invention applies to toothbrushes.

Description

 The present invention relates to toothbrushes.

 Its purpose is to define a toothbrush whose distal part, comprising the brushing function is removable and disposable.

 In known devices of this kind, a practical definition, simple to produce, and giving good brush-handle cohesion has not been achieved.

 Patent 2 343 444 includes in particular a bulky head, capable of generating brushing, and moreover the production is of extreme complexity.

 Patent 2 226 133 of a much simpler embodiment does not have a good removable-consistency ratio of the system, especially during lateral brushing.

 Still other projects passed to us, but none seemed to us to combine simplicity, solidity, and functional efficiency.

 The device according to the invention avoids these drawbacks.

 - The brush.

 The brush bristles are fixed on a plastic or rigid resin sole, the base of which is wider than the upper part in cross section, thus defining an acute angle on the two lower lengths of the sole. The cut is therefore trapezoidal. This part engages in the handle along its longitudinal axis.

 On each side of the sole, a few millimeters from the distal end, a small bulge will be made, constituting a hooking pin.

 The dorsal face, at its distal end, will be provided with a groove beyond the bristles, where a force may be supported in the longitudinal direction for the extraction of the brush from the handle.

 - The handle.

 It can be made of metal or any other material of sufficient rigidity.

 The distal part, where the brushing element will be fixed, may be slightly inclined for the convenience of brushing. This part is machined in such a way that the sole, including the brush, comes to adapt to it by sliding along the longitudinal axis of the handle, that is to say that a gutter of trapezoidal section 5 with a large lower base and of dimensions adequate to the sole, is dug there.

 The proximal part of the gutter will constitute the stopper in the advent of the brush.

 On the sides of the gutter, a few millimeters from its entrance, will be made two small hollows, in which will take place the lugs of the sole.

 This extremely simple and economical assembly assembly ensures perfect cohesion in the lateral movements, we do not see the weakening effects of a system holding point, the edges of the sole are, in fact, engaged in the throat of the sleeve over their entire length.

 On the other hand, the longitudinal movement which engages for a toothbrush, less force than the transverse is maintained towards the handle, by the stop of the gutter, and towards the front, by the pins which engage in their housing on the handle.

 The groove made at the distal part of the sole allows easy disassembly.

 The soft and fine shape of the head is preserved, and there is no inconvenience of use because of the system.

 Finally, the manipulations are very simple for removing and installing the brushing element, they can be done by touch.

 The drawings are presented in three sheets numbered from 1 to 3.

 Figure 1 relates to the brushing element presented in profile.

 Figure 2 relates to the brushing element presented from the front.

 Figure 3 relates to the brushing element presented in section.

 The brushing element, presented in profile in Figure 1, is constituted by the bristles of the brush 1, which are inserted on the sole 2, towards the front we see the lugs for fixing the sole 2 in its housing.

 In the front view of FIG. 2, we will find the bristles, the pins 3, and the groove 4 intended to help the maneuver of the mobile element that this assembly constitutes.

 On the cross section, figure 3, we note the trapezoidal section of the sole 2. Figure 3.

 The handle of the brush is described in Figures 4, 5. Figure 4, the profile shows, we note that the device does not change the thickness.

 Figure 5 is a front view, we see the machined gutter 5.

 Figure 6 consists of two cross sections, section B-B passes at the level of the recesses 6 machined on the sides of the gutter, and intended to receive the pins. The C-C cut goes to any other level of the gutter.

 The brush-handle assembly is represented in FIGS. 7 and 8. FIG. 7 is a median longitudinal section of the assembly, in particular there is seen the groove 4 as well as the proximal stop 8, of the brushing assembly in its housing .

 FIG. 8 represents two transverse sections, the section D-D which passes at all levels and makes it possible to describe the sole 2 and the brush handle 7. The section E-E passes through the pins which come to be housed in their places 3 and 6.

Claims (5)

 1. Toothbrush removable brushing element characterized in that the brushing element whose sole (2) is of trapezoidal cross-section engages in the machined end section of the handle of the brush along the longitudinal axis thereof.  2. Toothbrush according to claim 1 characterized in that the sole of the brushing element has on its sides and in its distal part, a bulge on each side, constituting the lug (3), for attachment to the handle .  3. Toothbrush according to any one of claims 1 or 2 characterized in that the upper face (bristle side) of the sole (2) of the brushing element is provided with a groove (4) in its distal part beyond the bristles, forming an anchor point to the force intended to remove the sole from its place on the handle.  4. Toothbrush according to any one of claims 1, 2 or 3, the handle of which is hollowed out of a gutter (5) of trapezoidal section and of dimensions adequate to the sole (2) of the brushing element; at the entrance to the gutter, its sides are hollowed out by two depressions (6) intended to receive the lugs of the brush sole (3)  5. Toothbrush according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, or 4 characterized in that the interchangeable and disposable brushing element engages in the gutter of the handle along the longitudinal axis, the end of sliding marked by the penetration of the pins (3) in their housing (6) and the stop of the sole at the bottom of the gutter (8); the release of the movable element marked by the reverse operation, with the help of the groove (4).
