Abstract

The invention relates to multi-hulled sailing craft with delicate control allowing sailing on all stretches of water, alone or accompanied in good safety conditions and with minimal effort. The craft is composed of two unsinkable boards or floats 1 connected together by a light structure 2. The mast foot 9 securely fastened to the structure turns about a horizontal axis enabling the sail to be manoeuvred from fore to aft; the mast being forced to tip left to right ensures the absorption of lateral forces. The slide 10 enables longitudinal adjustment of the mast; the latter is attached to the attachment 8 and may turn upon its axis. Amongst the advantageous applications of the invention may be mentioned ultra-light boat-sailing for leisure, sport, and introduction to sailing.

Description

The present invention is intended for nautical leisure in relaxation or sport version. Its design allows the practice of sailing on all water bodies in conditions of easy use and with maximum safety.

The device according to the invention is intended to be as simple as windsurfing, easier to use in a sitting or standing position, and capable of receiving an attendant.

Existing windsurfers have the disadvantage of being an individual leisure activity, the practice of which requires certain physical form, without handicap, with more or less long learning. The care of a passenger is at the expense of stability, sliding and safety.

The multihull boats offered on the market are specific vehicles for transport and handling which are difficult due to their weight and volume and which, when dismantled, have elements which cannot be used for other purposes.

The machine according to the invention avoids these drawbacks, it consists of two identical windsurfing hulls in which a second or third must foot root is arranged at the rear of the drift shaft. These bases are used to fix a light structure thus connecting the two shells. T-
Thus- assembled the hulls parallel to each other form :: relative to the water an angle of incidence between C and 450 - preferably 15 - to avoid charging into the wave, to ensure good hold heading, reduce the immersion of the hulls at medium or high speed and offer the possibility in sports use, of sliding on a float made almost horizontal,
The link structure raised relative to the floats is covered with a grating or any other perforated or perforated element, of various materials compatible with the standing, seated or other position of the driver. On this link structure is mounted the mast and the "V;hisbone" sails by means of an attachment with three degrees of freedom: travel of the mast in the sliding direction, rotation of the mast along its axis, adjustment and longitudinal locking with respect to the daggerboards.

The user (s) actuate the sails via the "Whisbone" from front to back - upwind or wind direction - while controlling the windward catch by rotation of the sail.

The efforts made will be minimized by the fact that the tenure of the mrt in the vertical plane is ensured by the fastener, that the "Whlsbone" is only operated by two users thus making possible the use of sail surfaces. various.

The boat due to the materials used and because of its modular construction is easily dismountable in order to be easily handled and transported by a single person. Its external dimensions allow it to be conveyed on the carrying bars of a mobile car. The assembly is done without keys or specific tools.

The accompanying drawings show the complete boat (1/2)., One of the views is shown in partial section (2/2) to show the attachment of the vint, its degrees of freedom, and the longitudinal adjustment.

As shown ltengin comyorte two windsurfers or unsinkable floats (1) keeping it on the surface of the water. The structure (2) in light alloy or composite materials connects the two hulls to each other by means of four bases (3), it supports the mast foot (9). It rotates around a horizontal axis allowing the operator placed on the grating (6) to maneuver his sail (4) back and forth via the "Whisbone" (5) but condemns the right tilting left. The longitudinal adjustment of the foot (9) is possible via the slide (10). The mast (77 fits on the clip (8) and can rotate along its axis.

..  The invention in industrial exploitation will give the possibility to a greater number of people to practice a nautical sport, to perform it in pairs for relaxation or initiation, while retaining the original autonomy of the boards. ..

It is understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown which is only an example to which many modifications can be made without departing from the present invention.
