THE PRESENT INVENTION CONCERNS A DIRECTIONABLE WEAPON FOR AIRCRAFT, PARTICULARLY FOR HELICOPTERS. ON THIS WEAPON 1 A TURRET 2 CAN BE MOUNTED OUTSIDE THE AIRCRAFT IN A MANNER TO ROTATE AROUND ITS AXIS 5 RELATING TO THIS. WEAPON 1 SUPPORTS A WEAPON 8 ON ONE SIDE AND AN AMMUNITION BOX 10 ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TOWER 2 AND CONNECTED TO THE WEAPON 8 BY A HOSE 11 SERVING TO DELIVER AMMUNITION 13. APPLICATION IN PARTICULAR TO HELICOPTERS.

  ORIENTABLE ARM FOR AIRCRAFT, PARTICULARLY FOR HELICOPTERS.

  The invention relates to a steerable weapon for aerodynamic

  naves, especially for helicopters.

  It is known to equip tactical aircraft, par-

  particularly the combat helicopters, to which the following description refers only as an example

  non-limitative weapon of arms,

  usually a fast firing gun; mounted at a variable height on a suitable turret below the cabin or in any other suitable location, the turret being

  designed to rotate around its axis, usually

  to the pivot axis of the weapon relative to the

  turret. On helicopter gunships, the turret

  you are usually mounted below a front part of the cabin, the weapon itself being fed with ammunition from a box located at some distance from the turret

  and connected in solidarity with the body of the helicopter or incor-

pored to this one.

  These last two provisions include

  firstly with regard to the location, given the almost total absence of available space on the combat helicopters and second, with regard to the supply of ammunition. Being located at some distance from the weapon, the box must be connected to it by a flexible hose with ammunition, which invariably limits the margin of displacement of the turret around its axis.   The object of the invention is to provide an orien-

  table having substantially none of the above disadvantages.

  For this purpose, the subject of the invention is an orean weapon
