Abstract

Description

Folding box
The present invention relates to a folding box made of a blank in a single part with a bottom and four side walls to which are articulated extensions or flaps.

A known folding box of the same kind is formed by erecting the blank and maintaining assembly by mutual attachment of suitable parts added on extensions, which are themselves articulated on the four side walls.
The subject of the invention is a folding boot of the advertised type which can be used for packaging and transporting hot snacks such as chopped steaks, french fries etc.

This folding box is characterized in that a cover comprising at least one insertable flap is articulated on a side wall, that at least one of the other side walls has an insertion slot and that the folding box is kept assembled only by blanking and closing with insertable flaps and insertion slots.

The arrangements according to the invention make it possible to create a closed package on all sides in which the contents are transportable in the hot state and / or in a situation protected against shocks and pressures.
Dressing and closing the folding boots can be done by a few simple manipulations excluding any complicated hooking.

 In a preferred embodiment of the invention, three insertable flaps are articulated on the cover and there are three insertion slots in three side walls. This results in a particularly stable and tightly closed package.

 According to a very advantageous possible feature, load-bearing tabs are formed against the extensions of the two side walls proper and the cover has an opening in the form of a slot. -After folding 900 upwards, the two carrying tabs can be pushed into the cover through the opening and slot and thus form a handle allowing the packaging to be carried.

 The reference 1 designates in FIG. 1 a folding boot, the different component parts of which are clearly visible parts in the figure - representing i flat a cardboard blank 2 for the production of said folding boot 1. This folding boot has a bottom 3 of which the four limiting edges are established in fold lines 4, 5, 6 and 7. At the fold line 7 is contiguous a side wall 8 which tapers in a trapezoid from the bottom 3 and at the delimitation edges established in fold lines 9, 10 of which flaps 11, 12 are articulated.

An insertion slot 13 composed of a curvilinear incision with a contiguous semicircular recess is formed in the side wall 8. Two other side walls 14 and 15 whose limiting edges, seen from the bottom 3, converge upwards are articulated to said bottom 3 by the fold lines 4 and 6. These side walls 14 and 15 continue, through fold slots 16, 17, in extensions 18 and 19 whose limiting edges are parallel to the fold lines 4, 6 or 5, 7 at the bottom 3.Insertion slots 20, 21 composed of curvilinear incisions contiguous to roughly circular recesses are further provided in the side walls 14, 15. On the fold line 5 of the bottom 3 is formed a side wall 22 whose limiting edges established in fold lines 23 and 24 converge, seen from the bottom 3, upwards and on which the flaps 25 and 26 are articulated. The side wall 22 extends, through a folding line 27, in a cover 28 on the three limiting edges, established in fold lines 29, 30, 31 and parallel to the fold lines 4, 6 or 5, 7 of the bottom 3, from which are inserted insertable flaps 32, 33, 34.

FIG. 3 is a flat representation of a cardboard blank 100, the component parts of which correspond essentially to those of the blank according to FIG. 2.
