Abstract

Parallelepipedic box provided with a handle formed from a pressing made from flexible material, characterised in that the handle is incorporated in the pressing, and is cut out in one piece with one of the surfaces of the blank constituting, at least partially, the top of the box. The ratio between the dimensions L e h of the box is preferably chosen such that the box has the external appearance of a small suitcase. Application: manufacture of packages, display units, gift boxes.

Description

 The present invention relates to a parallelepipedic box, made of foldable material, provided with a handle, and intended for packaging, transport, presentation of products such as bottles of wine or alcohol.

At present we do not know any box of this type having in combination the following characteristics
- built-in handle
- general appearance of a suitcase
- formation of the whole (box-handle) from a unique development
- assembly without gluing or stapling
- a face that can open in part.

 The present invention aims to solve this problem.

The invention will be better understood from the following description with reference to the following figures

 A first type of box according to the invention, shown in general view in Figures I and 2, is obtained by folding and mechanical closure of the development of Figure 3. This developed consists of two surfaces (1) and (4) which will form the front face of the box, a surface (5) or bottom of the box, a surface (7) or quarry face, said surfaces being substantially rectangular, adjacent to one another and succeeding in the order of enumeration (I) (4) (5) (7) to form a large rectangle whose width will be the length (L) of the box.

 In addition, each of the previous surfaces is lined on either side of flaps.

 Thus a flap (2) adjacent to the front face (1) extends on one side of the rectangle perpendicular to the direction (L). The said flap (2) preferably has the same length as the side of the face (1) that it runs and a width at most equal to the thickness of the box. The end (17) of said flap (2), turned towards the bottom of the box is preferably cut in a rounded shape, the other end facing towards the top of the box is provided with a small flap (16) for the mechanical closure of the box.Another flap (2 ') with rounded end (17') and closing flap (16 '), adjacent to the front face (1), is symmetrical with the flap (2) with respect to the axis of symmetry of the rectangle (I) perpendicular to the direction (L).

 Then, the rectangle (4) constituting the base of the front face is bordered, like the rectangle (1) of two symmetrical flaps (3) and (3 ').

 These two flaps (3) and (3 ') may be rectangular or have, as in Figures 1,2,3, a projection (20) or (20') for increasing the height of said flaps and the strength of the closure.

 The flaps (3) and (3 ') are further provided with two clips (18) and (18') for cooperating with appropriate notches (27) and (27 ') and arranged to keep the flaps closed (3). ) and (3 ') as in Figure 2.

 The rectangle (5) or bottom of the box is not bordered by side flaps.

 The rectangle (7) or rear face of the box is bordered by two symmetrical lateral flaps (8) and (8 '), substantially rectangular, of the same height as the rear face (7) and whose width corresponds to the thickness of the box.

 Each end of each flap (8) and (8 ') is provided with a small flap (6) (6') (9) (9 ') for the mechanical mounting of the box.

 The small flaps (6) (6 ') (9) (9') preferably have a trapezoidal shape, to facilitate folding and mounting.

 The developed further comprises an assembly (15) (15 ') to form the top of the box secured to the front face, and a set (10) (11) (12) (12') (13) to form the top of the box secured to the rear face and comprising the handle.

The surface (15 ') is a rectangle, integral with the edge
top of the front face (1) and extending over its entire length
(L).

The surface (15) is a substantially similar rectangle
dimensions as the rectangle (15 '), serving as a lining to the rec
tangle (15) after folding following the fold zone (23) linear (intended to take into account the thicknesses of material) of the faces
(15) and (15 ').

The surface (15) is furthermore provided with a plurality
clips (21), for example four arranged projecting along
the edge to cooperate, after folding with the front (1).

Notches (22) are appropriately disposed along
of the line separating the face (1) and the face (15 ') so
to receive the clips (21).

On the other hand the surface (10) is a solidary rectangle
the edge of the face (7), and extending over its entire length
(L).

The surface (11) preferably has substantially the same
dimensions as the surface (10) and it serves as a lining apyres
folding along the linear folding zone (23 ') (intended for
take into account the material thicknesses of the faces (10) and (11)

adapted to receive the two thicknesses of handle (12) and (12 '),
a plurality of clips (26) on the outer edge of the face
(11) (for example two clips) to cooperate with notches
suitable for the fold line separating the faces
(10) and (7).

 Finally there is provided at least one tongue (14) cut in the face (15 ') to cooperate with at least one notch (28) cut appropriately on the fold line separating the faces (10) and (11).

 The preferred embodiment shown in Figures 1,2,3 has two tabs (14) and two notches (28) but this number is not limiting. The said tongues (14) -encoches (28) are closure means for keeping closed the front face (1) of the box.

 Developments, similar to that of Figure 3 are cut in a conventional manner to those skilled in the art, using a suitable cutting tool, in any suitable foldable material, for example cardboard (corrugated 2C / White, neutral or printed) or AKYLUX (trademark).

 The fold lines, represented by dotted lines by repression, are also prepared on one of the faces of the developed part, which face will preferably become the internal face of the box.

 The boxes can therefore be delivered flat, which facilitates shipping. They are then formed and mounted mechanically, that is to say by manually closing sets (clips-notches). The assembly is done without gluing or stapling.

 When the box is formed, it is composed, as can be seen better in Figure 2, a rigid body formed of the rear wall (7), two blanks (8) (8 '), a bottom, a top formed by the faces (10) and (10 ') (not visible). The top is held by the handles (12) (12 ') passing through the slot (19) and the flaps (9) and (9'). The bottom of the body of the box is constituted and held in place by the flaps (3) and (3 ').

 The box is characterized in that it opens on the front face, and on part of its height only, a part (4) of the front face remaining fixed, and the fold line separating the parts (I) and (4) acting as hinge, or axis of rotation parallel to the bottom (5).

 The front opening part is composed of a front face (1), two side flaps (2) (2 '), a top formed by the parts (15) and (15').

 The dimensions of the faces and flaps of the developed are such that the flaps (3) and (3 ') are put in place outside the blanks (8) and (8') of the body of the box while the side flaps (2) and (2 ') and the top (15') of the opening portion slide right inside the body of the box, with a suitable play to ensure both closure and sliding.

 But it would not go beyond the scope of the invention if the opening part was disposed outside the body, because this would be a closure mode equivalent to the previous one.

For this, it is sufficient to place the notches, clips and tabs appropriately so that they still fulfill the same functions, to provide the dimensions of the opening part accordingly, and a notch or a cut in the parts (15 ') and (15) for the passage of the handle.

 In addition there may be provided a cutout (36) of any shape, for example round, to facilitate the opening of the opening part of the box, and appropriately disposed on said opening portion (1).

 Finally the lining of the handle (12 ') and the bar (13) are not mandatory but improve the strength of the handle.

 A second type of box according to the invention shown in Figures 4,5,6 can be considered as a variant of the previous type.

 The second type of box is distinguished from the first by its closure system. Therefore we will not repeat below the description of the development of Figure 6. It will be explained only that parts (15) and (15 ') of Figure 3 are deleted and replaced by three separate elements: a central element giving more overall strength and two locking side members.

 The central element consists of a flap (32) with a slot (34) and two tabs (33) and (33 ').

 The said flap is able to pass outside the portion (10) of the body of the boot, the handles (12) and (12 ') passing through the slot (34), the locking being ensured by the system (tongues- notches), (33) (33 ') - (34) (34').

 The tabs (34) (34 ') are provided along the fold line separating the faces (7) and (10). On the other hand the side elements are formed of a portion (30) and its lining (31), a portion (30 ') and its lining (31').

Each portion (31) and (31 ') is provided with at least one clip, to cooperate with a suitable notch (22) of the fold line separating the faces (30) and (1) or (30') and (30 ') 1). In each portion (30) and (30 ') there is also provided a tab (14) for locking similar to that of the first type of box. The flaps (16) and (16 ') perform the same function as for the first type of box namely the mechanical maintenance of the side elements (30) (31) and (30') (31 ') forming the top of the part opening of the box.

 As for the first type of box, the box shown in FIG. 5 opens on the front, and only part of its front face, and when closing the opening part (2) (30) (30 ') (2 ') slips inside the body of the box so as to give the whole a more aesthetic appearance but it would not go beyond the scope of the invention by reversing the relative positions of the top and the body (c that is, if the opening part is placed outside the body, the clips, notches, tabs, being placed appropriately to fulfill their function).

 It is also possible, without departing from the scope of the invention, to dispose the handle on the opening part and not on the body of the box.

 The box system with incorporated handle, handle cut in one piece with one of the surfaces of the developing component, in part at least the top of the box, and fully mechanical assembly without sticking or stapling just described and presented according to two examples of variants may have different aspects depending on the dimensions chosen: length (L), thickness (e) and height (h). More particularly one chooses a ratio between the dimensions (L), (e), (h), such that the box has the external appearance of a suitcase (or an attaché case). The model shown is thus designed to receive a row of bottles or two conventional archive boots or any other object.

It is possible to provide, while preserving the external appearance of a case, a range of dimensions, for example

Bottles can be bottles of Burgundy wine, Bordeaux, Alsace, or fancy bottles.

 The suitcase-shaped boots according to the principle of the invention can be used both as a package, as a display (in the open position) and as a gift box.

Claims (10)

1. parallelepipedal boot provided with a handle formed from a developed made of a foldable material, characterized in that the handle is incorporated in the developed, and cut in one piece with one of the surfaces of the constituent developed, in part at least, the top of the box. 2. parallelepipedal box according to claim 1, characterized in that a face, said front face, of the box is openable, about an axis of rotation parallel to the bottom (5). 3. parallelepipedal box according to claim 2, characterized in that the front face consists of an opening portion (1) of height less than that of the box, and a fixed front portion (4). 4. parallelepipedal boot according to claim 3, characterized in that the fixed front portion (4) is provided with side flaps (3) and (3 '). 5. parallelepipedal box according to claim 4, characterized in that the side flaps are adapted to be placed and held outside the blanks (8) and (8 ') of the body of the boot. 6.-parallelepipedic box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the box comprises at least one locking tongue (14) to cooperate with a notch (28) and able to keep closed the front opening part (1) . 7. parallelepipedal box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a central element composed mainly of a flap (32) provided with a slot (34) adapted to pass outside the body of the box, the slot (34) being traversed by the handle (12) (12 '). 8. parallelepipedal boot according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opening part (1) comprises a cutout (36) to facilitate the opening of said opening part (1). 9. parallelepipedal box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the handle is formed of at least one material thickness (12). 10. parallelepipedal box according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the box has the general shape of a suitcase.
