Abstract

The invention relates to a device that prevents the formation of wrinkles on the face. It consists of strips of transparent acrylic adhesive tape not carrying any skin-care products 1, from 0.05 to 0.10 millimetres in thickness with its two ends 2 and 3. The end 3 presents a section showing the smooth side 4, the rounded edges 5.5 and the adhesive layer 6 not extending as far as the rounded edges. When these adhesive strips are applied to the parts of the skin bearing wrinkles, for example, it forms a smooth and semi-rigid layer welded to the epidermis, preventing deformation of the latter and ensuring the flatness of the outer surface of the skin. The device according to the invention is intended especially for counteracting ageing mechanically and not chemically.

Description

 The present invention relates to systems used to oppose deformations of the epidermis, face and hands, that is to say wrinkles.

 In known devices of this kind, application ribbons for skin care, allowing treatment materials to be spread over the skin, massages and masks have been used for a long time.

 However, the alterations of the elastic tissue formed by the skin cannot be erased by the application of creams, products of high molecular weight, the structural complexity of which rules out the hypothesis of their penetration into the epidermis and which, in furthermore, have no mechanical action on the deformations. On the other hand, massages and masks are preventive and corrective actions, but cannot be carried out long enough for the first, and are not sufficiently local or rigid for the others. Their use is also too lumpy and impractical.

 The device according to the invention falls into these last two categories, but it is extremely inexpensive and very convenient and allows personal use. It has certain mechanical effects, working alone for a very long time during which, precisely, wrinkles of the "stratum corneum of the skin occur, that is to say at night.

The device according to the invention consists of an element of adhesive tape of a determined thickness, without anti-wrinkle product, which is applied to the parts of the face, seats of these deformations. The section perpendicular to the length of the element is in the form of a rectangle whose smallest ribs, that is to say the edges of the tape, are rounded. The adhesive layer prevails on the surface of the tongue, without going to these edges, to allow easy removal, without scratching the skin
The mechanism of the action of this tongue, responding to the dimensions of sufficient thickness, consists in operating a weld on the "horny layer", so as to add another layer, that of the ribbon, much more rigid and smooth, it , than is the outside of the epidermis.

 The whole, epidermal layer and tongue, forms a substantially non-deformable whole, opposing the action, weak but repeated, of the underlying muscles, skin muscles, action normally caused by expression.

 It is this expression, under various influences, worries, efforts, laughs, which cause tiny little wrinkles, around the eyes, around the mouth, on the commissure of yeasts, under the eyes, when all these parts of the face are free, that is to say without protection. While, protected by the tabs, these parts of the face are no longer altered by the formation which has become impossible, small wrinkles.

 This kind of ironing causes relaxation at the same time. Indeed, the thickness of the tongue has sufficient rigidity to support the skin, determining a reeducation of the control of the face which allows once the tongue removed, to keep a kind of immobility.

 By these convenient daily applications, the skin is made smooth and this effect is much more lasting than with the current procedures, necessarily temporary, massages and masks which constitute a real bondage.

 The device according to the invention requires a ribbon or pellets of relatively small dimensions, in length and in width, but the thickness of which is of the order of five or ten hundredths of a millimeter or even more, depending on the nature of the skin. ; the constituent plastic must be transparent to reduce the appearance of a dressing, and relatively rigid, the edges of the small tabs are rounded and the adhesive layer, hypoallergenic to avoid skin reactions, is not applied near the edges.

 The accompanying drawings show various kinds or forms of non-limiting tongues and pastilles.

 Figure 1 is a perspective view of a tongue, applicable to the most extended flat parts of the face.

We see the tongue 1, its two ends 2 and 3. On the end 3 is shown the rectangular section with the side without adhesive substance 4, the rounded edges 5.5, and the side 6 carrying the adhesive substance. The acrylic adhesive composition has sufficient adhesion for this use and is not applied against the edges 5.5. The width of the tongue is of the order of a centimeter, but it can also be greater for large parts of the face, such as the forehead.

 Figures 2, 3, 4, give a nonlimiting form for the pellets applicable at the corner of the eyes, under the eyes, at the corners of the lips and in general at the altered places.

 The device according to the invention, using transparent annallergic plastic plasters, is particularly intended to oppose facial alterations and to combat the manifestations of aging.

Claims (4)

 1) Device to prevent the formation of wrinkles and alterations of the face and hands, characterized in that it uses a transparent acrylic adhesive plastic tape; fairly thick, not carrying creams, applied to the proven parts of the skin,  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized by parts of adhesive tape of five to ten hundredths of a milliv meter thick at most.  3) Device 3 according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that the lateral edges of the strips are rounded.  4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the acrylic adhesive layer, that is to say annallergic, is not extended on the rounded side edges of the strips.
