Abstract

The crane, which has a two section telescopic mast (1,2) has a jib (3) and counter jib (4) with a cast iron balance weight (6) mounted on it. The two jibs are connected by hinges to the upper section (2) of the mast so that they can be swung from a horizontal position projecting outwards in opposite directions to a folded vertical position for transport. The outer ends are connected to tensioning cables passing over an extension (5) on the upper section, and the jibs can be lowered without auxiliary equipment by releasing the cables. Projecting from the bottom section (1) of the mast is a support (7) for the balance weight, which can be moved along the counter jib, using a guiding track incorporated in the counter jib. This enables the balance weight to be supported at a suitable position when folded, so that it can safely travel by road.

Description

Swivel tower, jib and counter-jib crane
The present invention relates to a rotary tower crane, comprising a jib and a counter-jib carrying a counterweight, which can be assembled and disassembled without the intervention of external auxiliary means and can, in its transport position, in which it is dismantled be moved on the road complete, with all its essential parts, the tower being telescopic.

In the traditional tower cranes, ie counterweight, constituted by stick plates, is put in place during the assembly, at the end of the counter-jib, preferably by means of an auxiliary crane - These counterweights must be transported , assembled and disassembled apart, which complicates the assembly of the crane and makes it more expensive
In the case of quick-erecting cranes that were used until the present day, for the transport on the road from site to site, we used to fold the crane without dismantling any of its essential parts, the assembly and the disassembly of the crane can then be carried out without the intervention of external auxiliary means.

However, if one tries to fold in this known manner, for road transport, a crane comprising a counter-jib and a counterweight attached to the end of this counter-jib, it can be seen that the counterweight is placed in a position unfavorable, so that the vehicle load is unevenly distributed. On the other hand, if the counterweight is placed on the vehicle in a favorable position for road transport, its position will be unfavorable for the operation of the crane. It is essentially for this reason that. the counterweight must be removed for road transport.

The object of the invention is therefore to allow the positioning of a tower crane of the aforementioned type in which the counterweight mounted on the counter-jib is always placed, whether for the operation of the crane or for its transport on the road. , so that its center of gravity is in the most favorable position, this position being taken automatically during assembly and disassembly
This object is achieved, according to the invention, d that the counterweight mounted on the counter-jib is fixed securely on it, but so as to be able to move, and that the outside shaft of the tower carries a console on which, during from the re-entry of the internal barrel, the counterweight is supported so that its center of gravity is in the most favorable position for road transport
The invention solves the problem of different centers of gravity by displacing the counterweight during assembly or disassembly. This displacement of the counterweight when the telescopic elements 3 of the tower exit or re-enter is effected automatically without any other intervention.

As the movement of the counterweight takes place while the counter-jib is suspended vertically from the top of the tower, the holding device can be of simple construction since it must only absorb guide forces and not friction forces .

The invention is described below in more detail by means of an exemplary embodiment, with reference to the drawing in which
Figure i shows a crane whose jib and counter-jib are in their working position.

Figure 2 shows the crane partially dismantled at the start of the retraction of the telescopic parts of the tower.

Figure 3 shows the crane with all the telescopic parts retracted
Figure 1 shows a crane in the working position. The telescopic tower has an exterior shaft (1) and an interior shaft (2). For greater clarity, 5 the cables ensuring the telescopic movements of the tower, lifting and lowering of loads, as well as mounting and dismounting. of the crane are not shown at the upper end of the inner shaft (2), the boom (3) and the jib (4) are kept in their working position.

For mounting and dismounting the crane, the boom (3) and the counter-jib (4) can pivot around horizontal axes. The end of the counter-jib (4) carries a counterweight (6) which is fixed to it. On the side of the counter-arrow (4), the outer barrel (1) carries a console (7) or a similar device.

For dismantling the tower, which FIG. 1 represents in its working position, the arrow (3) and the counter-arrow (4) are folded down, by means of a mounting device not shown, until that they hang parallel to the tower (1,2). The counterweight (6) hangs at the end of the counter-jib (4). This is the situation shown in Figure 2. The tensioner support - (5) can obviously be folded down, too, in a known manner, for road transport.

When the inner barrel (2) then enters the outer barrel (i), the counterweight (6) bears, from a certain height, on the console (7). When the internal barrel continues to enter, the counter-jib (4) also continues to descend, but the counterweight (6) remains in its position, determines in advance, yqui is chosen so that after the folding of with the crane completely dismantled, the center of gravity of the counterweight is in a favorable position with respect to the road transport vehicle (not shown).

As the counterweight (6) rests with its full weight on the console (7), the holding device located between the counterweight (6) and the counter-jib (4) must absorb virtually no force during movement. guide and absolutely no friction effort. It can therefore be constituted by a simple guide slide.

FIG. 3 shows the crane when the telescopic parts of the tower are fully retracted. For road transport, the crane is folded down, according to a known method applied for quick-erecting cranes with jib boom or articulated jib, the counterweight (6) remaining in its place on the tower.

For mounting the crane, the operations are carried out in reverse. In this case also, the counterweight, which remains in its place on the crane during the road journey, is automatically placed in its optimal position at the free end of the counter-jib.

As, for road transport, not only the weights but also the dimensions must not exceed determined maximum values, the counterweight is constituted by a steel casting or by welded steel plates and not, as usual, by concrete. As the specific weight of the steel is clearly higher, the dimensions of the counterweight can be reduced as required for road transport.
