Abstract

The support bracket (1) is in the form of a trapezium with two parallel and two tapering sides. The angles and dimensions are such that the trapezium is symmetrical about its long axis (X). The long sides are flanged (3) so that, together with the base (2), the support bracket has U-shaped cross-section. At its wide end the base (2) has two elongated holes (7,8) set at an angle (alpha) to the axis of symmetry (X). The bracket is bolted to a vertical support (5) with corresponding holes (6) matching the ones in the bracket. The angle and positioning of the elongated holes (7,8) is such that when the bracket is bolted to the vertical support the upper side is automatically horizontal.
