Abstract

The bracket (1) is for supporting a cable channel or a tray (2) and has a stock (4) from which a horizontal arm (3) projects. The arm having two lower struts (5) for strengthening and supporting the arm (3). The arm (3) has a transverse rib (16) adjacent the stock (4) for positioning the tray (2) and a number of slots (15) for bolting the tray (2) to the arm (3). The two struts have respective slots (9) whose axes are inclined to the vertical and which are formed adjacent the stock (4) to receive support pins (17) when the bracket is secured in a U-channel column (7). The pins (17) rest on an inclined wall (10) of the stock for additional support. The stock (4) also has holes (8) for normal wall mounting. Additional strengthening ribs may be provided. The bracket (1) is useful for both wall and column mounting.
