Abstract

The adjuster for the height of a car seat squab comprises a bracket (2) extending from the front end of slides (1) positioned at either side of the squab (S), each bracket containing an aperture (4b), the rear edge (4a) of which carries a row of teeth. The teeth receive the ends (14a) of a cross beam extending from a shaft (13) pivotally mounted in bearings (12) on the seat squab and is actuated by a spring-biassed lever (19). The rear of the squab is pivotally mounted about an axis (9) on the seat frame (8) which lies above the slides.
