Abstract

A leather collar (40) worn by an animal has a buckle (41) which enables the ends to be joined and which also contains batteries for a receiver. The receiver (43) is housed in an enlarged section of the collar and has loudspeakers (44) located on either side. An antenna (45) is encased within the collar. The animal is recalled by operation of a transmitter for which a microphone provides signals to a modulator. The modulator drives a generator to which an antenna is coupled. The generator may be for radio, ultrasonic or infra red frequencies and may be modulated using amplitude, phase, frequency or digitally coded signals.

Description

APPARATUS FOR REMOTELY RECALLING A DOMESTIC ANIMAL
The present invention relates to an apparatus for remotely recalling a domestic animal.

Dog owners, who let go of their animals in the countryside, are well aware of the problem of recalling more or less of course, especially when dogs, having smelled a hare or a cat, follow their instincts and move away from their malt.

To remind the dog, some people use whistles.

In addition to the fact that the sound made by a whistle is unpleasant for other walkers, the dog must be trained to react to the whistle. Therefore, this way of proceeding does not solve the problem stated above.

The present invention proposes to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art and to find a simple and effective solution to the problem of recalling the dog, detached from its leash during walks in the countryside.

For this purpose, the apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a receiving device arranged to be adapted to a collar worn by the animal, and a transmitting device carried by its marten.

According to a particular embodiment, the receiver comprises a member for picking up the waves emitted by the transmitter, preferably housed in a cavity formed in the dog's collar, an electrical supply device, at least one loudspeaker and one receiving antenna, all these elements being incorporated in the collar.

With reference to FIG. 1, the transmitter 10 shown diagrammatically essentially comprises a microphone 11, a modulator 12, a generator 13, a transmission antenna 14 and an electric current supply 15 constituted by one or more rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries. The generator 13 is a generator of radio waves, ultrasound, infrared rays or any other type of wave making it possible to transmit information modulated in amplitude, in frequency, in phase or by digital coding via the modulator 12.

Fig. 2 schematically represents the receiver 20 corresponding to the transmitter of FIG. 1. I1 comprises an antenna 21 receiving the signals transmitted by the transmitting antenna 14, a decoder 22 for decoding the signals picked up by the antenna 21, an amplifier 23 for amplifying the signals decoded by the decoder 22, a power supply 24 which preferably consists of rechargeable batteries or not, and at least one speaker 25 which reproduces the voice of the mayor.

Fig. 3 shows a practical embodiment of the transmitter 30 according to the invention. I1 consists of a shoemaker 31 equipped with an antenna 32 and a manipulation button 33, which is in fact an on and off switch. A microphone 34 is embedded in the case 31.

A compass 35 can be mounted on the front face of the case 31.

Fig. 4 illustrates a particularly advantageous embodiment of a collar, in which all the components of the receiver of the device according to the invention are incorporated. This collar 40, produced in a flexible section such as, for example, leather, comprises, at its lower part, a loop 41 for connecting the two ends of the collar together. This loop is constituted by a boot, in which the battery or batteries which supply the receiver are housed. At the upper upper part, the collar is provided with a bulge 42, in which are housed the receiver 43 proper and two loudspeakers 44 placed on either side of the receiver 43. An antenna 45 is embedded in the collar .

 The present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, which could have different variants and incorporate different modifications obvious to those skilled in the art.

Claims (4)

Claims  1. Apparatus for reminding a domestic animal, in particular a dog, characterized in that it comprises a receiving device (43) arranged to be adapted to a collar (42) carried by the animal, and a transmitting device (30 ) carried by his master. 2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the receiver comprises a member for picking up the waves emitted by the transmitter, an electrical supply device and at least one speaker (44) for reproducing the voice of the master in function of the signals picked up by said organ. 3. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the device for picking up the waves emitted by the transmitter comprises an antenna (40) incorporated in the collar. 4. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the speaker (44) is incorporated in the collar.
