Abstract

A wireless connection sever detector alarm system comprises a device 4 carried by a child 2 or pet (8 fig 2) which has a wireless sensor that detects when a connection has been lost with a mobile telephone 3 carrier by a guardian 1, (7 fig 2) . The device carried by the child or pet contains a power supply, and a speaker that sounds an alarm when a connection has been lost because the operational distance range 5 has being exceeded.

Description

Wireless Connection Sever Detector
Background
This invention relates to a device that sounds an alarm when it detects that it has lost connection with a mobile telephone via a wireless connection.
When a parentlguardian is with children at a public place, children tend to wander off from the safety of the guardian's side. When this occurs, children are more vulnerable to being injured or snatched.
Statement of Invention
To help prevent incidents of children going astray from their guardian's side, the current invention proposes a device with wireless capability. This device can be wirelessly connected and paired with the guardian's mobile telephone that also has wireless capability.
The proposed device will be attached to the child's clothing for example a belt or armband. While this device is in range of the paired mobile telephone, it is silent. As soon as the connection is severed or is out of range of the guardian's mobile telephone, a loud alarm sounds on the device that the child is wearing. This allows the guardian to locate the child. This alarm will stop sounding once the device is back within the range of the mobile telephone.
Advantages The unpleasant noise of the alarm will deter the child from straying, and will deter a stranger from snatching a child, as it will attract attention.
Dog owners can also use this same device. The device in this case would be attached to a dog's collar, and will sound when the device is out of range from the dog owner's mobile telephone. Over time, the dog will learn not to stray too far, and if it is dark, the owner can follow the direction of the alarm when it sounds, to locate the dog.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows a guardian 1 holding a mobile telephone 3. It shows a child 2 wearing the proposed device 4. Both devices 3 and 4 are sending and receiving wireless signals 6. It shows a range of connectivity 5.
Figure 2 shows a dog owner 7 holding a mobile telephone 3. It shows a dog 8 wearing the proposed device 4. Both devices 3 and 4 are sending and receiving wireless signals 6. It shows a range of connectivity 5.
Detailed Description
The proposed device 4 is attached to child 2 or dog 8. Device 4 is paired with a mobile telephone 3. The mobile telephone owner I or 7 carries out this action. Once devices 3 and 4 have established a connection, the proposed device 4 waits for the connection to be severed or for range 5 to be exceeded. If this occurs, device 4 sounds an alarm.
