Description

la figes 1 est une vue en élévation schématique de face d'une armoire et de son dispositif de détection et protection;;
Fire detection and protection device for closed enclosures such as cabinets subject to this risk
The invention relates to devices for detecting and protecting against fire from closed enclosures subject to this risk, such as cabinets with electrical and / or electronic circuit, automation, data processing, telephone switching, or else dangerous product for example, this list not being exhaustive I1 is known for such installations with several cabinets to use at least one fire detector connected to an air suction circuit in the enclosures to be protected and to at least one extinguishing device connected to a pipe for distributing an extinguishing agent in these enclosures, triggered by the aforementioned detector. This has the drawback that all the cabinets are subject to protection by extinguishing agent in the event of tripping and that installation must have a capacity, in fact undesirable for the cabinets not concerned, which must also then be put back in order
The object of the present invention is to meet the needs of personal protection by an autonomous arrangement device relatively simple and convenient to install. Essentially, for this purpose, the fire detection and protection device according to the invention is characterized. in that it consists, for each enclosure, of at least one fire extinguisher detector assembly outside the enclosure to be protected and connected to the latter by a single conduit connected to the suction circuit and to the distribution circuit by a valve system which normally leaves the suction circuit open and can be actuated on closing when the extinguishing agent is dispensed. In a simple manner, said normally open valve can be self-closing under the effect of the pressure of the extinguishant
An embodiment of a device according to the invention and moreover hereinafter described by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawing in which
Figs 1 is a schematic elevational front view of a cabinet and its detection and protection device;
Figs 2 is a median sectional view of the valve connection boot of the device
We schematized in Fig 1 the upper part 1 of a cabinet whose contents are to be protected against fire, and in 2 the box containing the device for detection and protection against fire, here reported on the roof of the cabinet, on which it can be fixed using elevation feet 3 in angle The cabinet 2 has a front face supposedly removed in figs 1, and which reveals the internal device, composed of a shoemaker 4 of the detection members, fixed in the box and provided at its base with a suction fan 5 adjacent to a lower nozzle 6
The latter is connected by a flexible conduit 7 to a nozzle 8 of a boot 9 with a valve 10 fixed to the bottom of the box, by means of a lower nozzle 11 which passes through it and using a nut. braked lia screwable on the nozzle The latter is intended to be engaged in a corresponding hole formed in the roof of the cabinet The boot 4 includes two smoke detectors shown diagrammatically at 12 and 13 which are for example one of the ionic type and the other of the optical type, and through which the air sucked by the fan 5 is forced to circulate before being evacuated towards the interior of the box and the atmosphere from the latter. A compartment has been shown at 14. electrical supply to the detectors and control for triggering the protection by means of electrical conductors 15 leading to the valve 16 of a fire extinguisher 17, for example of the halon type commonly used in this case The outlet nozzle 18 of the valve 16 is connected by a flexible conduit 19 to a nozzle 20 of the valve box opposite to the nozzle 8
As shown more clearly in FIGS. 2, the valve 10 can be a plane valve with armature lova, articulated under a cover 9a of the box, around an axis 21 supported by a yoke 22, so that its flexible lining lOb can close the suction nozzle 8 of the valve box when the extinguisher 17 is put into service, under the pressure of the extinguishing agent bursting into the valve boot via the nozzle 20 (position in dashed line of the valve) This valve is normally kept open as its position indicates in solid lines, under the return action of a weak tension spring 23 attached between it and the cover, crest-8 ie it normally leaves the circuit open supply supplying air to the cabinet for the detectors which monitor it.

It will be noted that the fact of having only one outlet nozzle for the device makes it extremely easy to install from a simple engagement of the conjugate shape it with a hole made in the cabinet which can be provided with a wall crossing joint. As a variant, if it is desired for example to fix the box laterally to the cabinet, it can then be easily done by a simple connection by a single conduit between the outlet nozzle il and an orifice of the chosen location of the cabinet. .

Of course, various variants can still be imagined without departing from the scope of the invention.
